New People’s Party Forming Around Sanders Voter Base!?!

An effort is being made to form a new “People’s Party” around those who voted
for Bernie Sanders in 2016:

Some might think it is too little, too late. Arguably, Trump’s victory achieved the
goal of creating a new populist party that included many of Bernie’s supporters
who could not bring themselves to vote for Hillary after she and the DNC conspired
to steal the nomination from him. https://stateofthenation2012.com/?p=57250

I thought Sanders should have bolted the Democratic Party instead of endorsing Clinton:

Jill Stein offered him the chance to head the Green Party ticket but he passed:

With Trump apparently regressing into a hawk while abandoning his pledge to avoid
foreign interventions, the time is ripe to revisit the topic of forming a new party that
embodies the populist issues shared by the disaffected left and right.

Sanders himself seems stuck in the past and is disavowing any interest in the project:

I think his supporters should opt for the younger, more attractive and vocally anti-war
Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard: https://stateofthenation2012.com/?p=64543

By focusing on a limited set of issues that reflect the true electoral majority,
2020 may very well be the decisive year for the emergence of a transpartisan
arrangement that can re-energize the polity and transform the country:
