The efforts to turn Donald Trump into an evil fascist tyrant represents
an attempt to mobilize voters to “protect the status quo for the sake

That is the conclusion of the article above in which the author takes
us through an elaborate exploration of the class dynamics of the
current election.
I think he succeeds in showing that despite his many limitations, Trump
is merely a hypothetical bad guy whereas Hillary is clearly the establishment
candidate. Efforts to unite the Democratic Party by
demonizing The Donald and getting Sanders supporters to see him as
dangerous is a desperate attempt by the Clinton crowd to deflect
attention from her pathetic record of scandal, corruption and outright
incompetence.
Sadly, Sanders seems to be the foremost proponent of this approach as he mysteriously refuses to drop out but states boldly how we must do everything to prevent Trump’s ascension to the White House.

In Hillary Clinton, we have a proven proponent of the Washington
Consensus that has seen constant wars of aggression by the US
over the last 25 years including by her husband, Obama and both
President Bushes.
She is a hawk, fully supported by the Neocons, Henry Kissinger, and
the globalists on Wall Street who back the TPP, more interventions,
more bailouts and the New World Order that even President Putin is

The problem is endless wars of aggression by the US in the name of
American Exceptionalism designed to implement a Global Manifest
Destiny………Pax Americana!
Trump did not create this approach and at times indicates he opposes
it. When he talks about constraining NATO, getting along with Russia,
opposing TPP and protecting America’s borders instead of fighting
endless foreign wars, he raises the hackles of Bill Kristol and his
Neocon buddies.
The fear of Trump morphing in a future tyrant is understandable but
is a reflection as much of the pervasive anger pulsating throughout
the entire polity against the establishment as it is about anything he
has actually done since he has never held elected office.
Hillary on the other hand is a proven petty tyrant who could easily
become a full-fledged “Napoleon” particularly because of her
demonstrated comfort level with launching unnecessary wars.

Trump cannot be charged with a single death from releasing bombs,
drones or airstrikes on hapless civilians. That is an issue Hillary along
with Bush, Obama, Blair and others cannot easily sidestep. In a perfect
world, they would all face prosecution before the International
Criminal Court.

our imperial foreign policy in ways Bernie has refused to do.

Only when we realize that Trump is not the problem and Hillary is not
the answer can we start healing the deep wounds we have created
abroad as well as those that grow worse here at home.
Does that entail the formation of a new political party, voting for the
Green Party, abstaining, writing in your best friend or something new?
I wish there were an easy answer but voting for Hillary because Trump
is so bad is morally, politically and intellectually unjustified.
