Bernie Sanders will endorse Hillary Clinton for President in the near future.

He will publicly justify this selling out by pointing to the evil Donald Trump as
the reason why he must back the profoundly corrupt former First Lady.
Doing so will constitute a betrayal of his core constituents and the endorsement
of the pro-Wall Street, pro war candidate.
Whether Sanders knew from the start of his campaign that he would play the
role of constraining his supporters by muting his criticism of Mrs. Clinton is
something only he can know.
But by failing to hone in on her long record of scandals, her history of backing wars of aggression, her fraudulent family charitable foundation and her ostensible criminal misuse of a personal e-mail server, Sanders muffled the level of support he could garner that prevented him from dispatching her to the political dustbin where she belongs.
When he steps over the line and finally says yes to Clinton’s presidential ambitions, he will sever the trust and life-line of integrity he created between himself and his millions of decent followers.
Pointing a finger at the abrasive Mr. Trump and saying he must be stopped is one
thing. Endorsing a war criminal and pathological liar is quite another.
No matter what one thinks of The Donald, Hillary’s record is clear for all to see.
In a year of difficult choices for many, Sanders decision to cave in to the pressure
to “unify the party” may well prove decisive in securing the White House for Hillary.
But as Stephen Lendman and many others have pointed out, this will be an act of
betrayal and cynical self-promotion by Sanders who will be seen as merely paying
lip-service to his agenda of fairness.
Most significant for many of us is the complete transformation of the Democratic
Party from the anti-war party of the Viet Nam era led by George McGovern and
Eugene McCarthy into the pro-war party of Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and now
Hillary Clinton: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article44843.htm
Many decent folks will be comfortable with this move by Sanders because they
are blinded by hatred for Trump. But if it is fascism they are worried about, all
they need to do is remind themselves of Hillary’s record of war-making and her
authoritarian nature: https://stateofthenation2012.com/?p=39314
With NATO pushing “humanity towards WWIII” it is amazing that Trump is somehow
the “peace candidate” in 2016: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article44833.htm
Sanders has had a chance to have an impact far beyond a few meaningless planks
in the Democratic Platform or a few minor policy changes should he become part of
her future Administration: https://stateofthenation2012.com/?p=39820
He has had a chance to make history. If he forgoes that unique opportunity and
embraces the sordid person of Hillary Clinton, he will align himself with everything
he said he was against and betray those who thought he was sincere in his beliefs.
Countless millions will feel the betrayal: how that plays out in the general election
will be interesting to see. With the Clinton team ready to “weaponize” the poor and
launch a virulent assault on Trump, Sanders choice will likely be seen by future
commentators as having leant aid and comfort to her pro-war Administration, the
99% be damned! https://stateofthenation2012.com/?p=39872
