According to FBI officials, the bureau has instructed its New York field office to continue its investigation into the possible corruption of the Clinton Foundation. This is huge, and the Democrats are not going to like it.
The instructions from the bureau reportedly told the agents to “go forward” with their inquiry into the possible corruption and possible money laundering activities of the Clinton Foundation.
“There were no instructions to shut it down, to discontinue or to stand down on the investigation, but to continue its work,” a former senior law enforcement official told The Daily Caller.
The official claimed to have received this information from the bureau’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., about a week ago, though he did not state that he knew who gave the orders.
After President-elect Donald Trump won the genreal election, he stated that, though it had been a huge component of his campaign, he did not want to continue to seek the imprisonment of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
“I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t,” he said in a November interview with The New York Times.
However, he did not rule out investigation of the corruption in the Clinton Foundation, saying, “We’ll have people that do things,” which as The Times reported may have been “a reference to the FBI or Republicans who might continue to press for prosecutions in the email or foundation cases.”
This ongoing investigation is just one more way to “drain the swamp,” and it is absolutely necessary that corruption and “pay-for-play” politics be taken out of Washington altogether. We need people we can trust in positions of authority, ones who care less about self-interest and more about the interests of the American people.
The FBI is standing firm on its decision to attempt to protect our rights.
