The Time To Restore The Republic Is Now!

A recent poll confirms what many have been saying for a long time: American voters are
thoroughly disgusted with both political parties! Instead of a Republic we have an Oligarchy.

The levels of wrong-doing are so intense that we now have corrupt Democrats investigating corrupt Republicans who are bemoaning the fact that Hillary has so far gotten off Scott-free despite the fact that she probably lost the election because she was seen as dirty.

It is long past time to unclog the system by reforming the process in ways described by
former Senator Mike Gravel (http://www.ncid.us/), Gerald Celente (http://occupypeace.us/), as well as Robert Steele and Cynthia McKinney among others.

To the extent that the public’s disapproval is “massive” and bipartisan, it confirms the belief that Trump won the election because he was the voice of the disaffected even if he has now abandoned his base or was always just telling folks what they wanted to hear from the start.

Irrespective of what really went down in November, his victory laid the foundation for the
formation of something akin to the American Populist Party in the future.

Hopefully the transition to such a new party can be done peacefully and with a minimum
of disruption to the social fabric. But with an economy apparently on the brink, a Congress
stuck in the usual petty bickering, and a president under constant, unrelenting attack by the
MSM/Deep State, the disgruntled polity may well find themselves on the street protesting
as we see occurring in other countries around the globe.

The future remains fraught with great uncertainty. A truly responsive government would
have already achieved far more under Obama and now Trump to deal with the many
grievances articulated by those petitioning their leaders for change.

Perpetuating these problems and letting them fester is a sure formula for social unrest.
The answer is fairly simple: stop these illegal wars; deal effectively with the troubled
financial system; stop spying on citizens and embrace the spirit of liberty that inspired
the Greatness so many clamor to see return.

But as Ron Paul illustrates so powerfully in his latest essay, the awesome increase in
military spending asked for by Trump and supported by Congress presents a very
pessimistic slant on progress towards ending the Oligarchy now triumphant in DC.

The desire to restore the Republic runs deep: until and unless Americans can find
a way to rally themselves by organizing into an effective mechanism for change, we
will continue to see the rapid decline that has been the hallmark of the last 25 years.
