The United States continues to flip-flop on its foreign policy in Syria resulting
in both confusion and a loss of credibility: http://revolutionradio.org/?p=178325
President Trump has relied primarily on ploys and lies in his attempt to
salvage what is left of the Bush/Obama/Hillary regime change approach
that has proven to be an expensive failure!
The recent announcement that we are withdrawing from Al-Tanf is the
clearest signal yet that the April retaliation attack as well as the placement
of boots on the ground with heavy artillery in Southeast Syria have been
seen by Assad and his allies as mere bluffs.

The bizarre announcement last week that Syria was preparing “another”
gas attack on its own people was dismissed by most observers as a poorly
planned scheme to manipulate public opinion after the success of that tactic
last Spring.
Other than some in the Main Stream Media and his many apologists, Trump
fooled no one into accepting this deception with Putin probably still scratching
his head wondering what happened to his American “partners!”
The anti-war elements in the GOP appear to be finally stepping up and saying
no to wasteful wars, one of the key messages that helped Trump capture the
White House and the Congress. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/47359.htm
No one who has been following these events can feel too secure in believing that
our involvement will soon end. After almost 16 years of post-9/11 fighting in the
region on top of the first Iraq War in 1991, the long Iran-Iraq War under Reagan,
Clinton’s 8 years of bombing Iraq and the endless turmoil that is the hallmark of
Middle East, optimism about the prospects for peace seems inappropriate.
The erratic Mr. Trump can readily turn on a dime and change directions again
even without the staging of a false flag event that can upset any progress
towards peace while providing a new pretext for escalating our involvement.
Is the writing on the wall in Syria? It’s way too soon to tell. But the success
of Syria with the backing of Russia, Iran and Hezbollah in turning back ISIS
and recovering much of its territory as is Iraq in Mosul and elsewhere means
the end may very well be in sight.
Cheney’s Long War needs to come to end now: for those wanting to know where,
Syria is a good place to start! http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/47365.htm
