The New French President Has A Lot Of Gaul Gall

“Common Sense” commentary coming from everyday folk

There are many good articles in this edition. The one I believe is #1 has to do with Trump’s withdrawing from the one-sided Paris Climate Agreement.

Trump stuck up for American interests /JOBS — which did not please the freeloader countries of the world. Ain’t that a shame?

French President Macron informed Trump that there would be “no renegotiation” possible if the U.S. drops out now What absolute gall!

The phony agreement would have meant having the U.S. pay out billions of dollars to other countries and making cuts in emissions, while the major polluters — China and India — did not have to cut their emissions at all. Great deal for them. For us — not so much.

Obama agreed to this nonsense — even without any consent of the Senate. Trump trumped Obama and the rest of the money-grabbers by his action. Now here is a President we can admire for supporting our interests and not giving in to those who try to take advantage of our good nature.

Also, apparently France isn’t happy over Trump telling NATO countries they need to pay their agreed-upon share for their military defense and the U.N. isn’t content with having the United States pay the lion’s share of the U.N. budget, either. But Trump knows that the U.S. is in debt to the tune of $20 Trillion — so for us every billion counts. Perhaps the U.S. should opt out of the generally anti-American U.N. (Amexit).

An interesting sidelight is that both France and Germany are doing nothing to help fight ISIS. Isn’t ironic that ISIS is killing their citizens?

Apparently France forgets who saved their bacon in WW I and WW II and gave them lots of money via the Marshall Plan to help them recover from the war. I appreciate President Trump for taking a stand, knowing that he would be criticized by the America Left and other countries. Once again, Trump lived up to his word and put America first.
