Blowback From Deep State Witch Hunt Will Destroy Democratic Party

Page: Deep State’s Witch Hunt for Russia Ties Will Be Their Undoing

Oil industry consultant and former Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page believes that concerted efforts by Obama administration-affiliated “Deep State” officials to expose President Donald Trump’s alleged and entirely unproven collusion with the Russians will come back to bite them.

Specifically, he believes their actions will in due time ultimately “expose the Obama administration’s use of false evidence to obtain a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court warrant to monitor his personal communications,” according to Breitbart.

In a report published last month, The Washington Post revealed that the FBI “obtained a secret court order last summer to monitor the communications of” Page. This revelation was based on leaks, ironically enough.

“The FBI and the Justice Department obtained the warrant targeting Carter Page’s communications after convincing a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court judge that there was probable cause to believe Page was acting as an agent of a foreign power, in this case Russia,” the Post reported.

Attempts to uncover the precise evidence the Obama administration used to argue that Page deserved a FISA warrant have been unsuccessful, with the U.S. government reportedly refusing to respond to a Freedom of Information Act request filed by the American Civil Liberties Union.

The former Trump adviser has himself “appealed for public disclosure of the justification for what he refers to as the ‘illegitimate’ FISA warrant,” according to Breitbart, but to no avail.

It’s his belief that the Obama administration’s motivations for pursuing a FISA warrant against him were illegitimate. He’s also confident that information about this warrant was purposefully leaked to the media “in order to stir up more unwarranted fear” about Russian collusion, he told Breitbart.

He has since reportedly submitted a letter to the House Select Committee on Intelligence outlining these concerns.

Page appeared confident that special counsel Robert Mueller III’s investigation into alleged Russian collusion could very well wind up not exposing any alleged wrongdoing by either him or Trump — but rather by former President Barack Hussein Obama and his officials.

Incidentally, the president himself seems to share this same belief. On Wednesday morning he issued several tweets blasting Democrat legislators for reportedly deciding not to bring Page in to testify on allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 election.  Take a look:

Apparently, the truth will have to be obtained the hard way — via Mueller’s investigation, to be precise.
