Hannity Previews Assange Interview: ‘I Believe Every Word He Says’

FOX News Insider

Sean Hannity gave us a preview of his revealing exclusive interview with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, which will air on Fox News Channel tonight at 10pm ET.

Assange spoke for about 90 minutes at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where he has remained for four-and-a-half years under threat of arrest.

Hannity said they discussed “the state of journalism” in the United States and what was not covered by the media when it came to the contents of the hacked emails.

Assange said he has never talked to Vladimir Putin or to any of his surrogates and has never talked to President-elect Donald Trump or any of his surrogates.

He also said he would have revealed the same type of information if it was on Donald Trump rather than the Democrats. Assange maintained that the source of the hacked emails was not the Russian government or any “state party.”

Some have immediately questioned whether Assange is telling the truth, but Hannity said he does not have doubts.

“I believe every word he says to be perfectly honest,” said Hannity.

He explained that a decade ago, he believed Assange was “waging war” on the U.S., but his opinion has changed over time.

“My opinion on it has evolved in large part because of what I have seen that he has done in 10 years. Nothing he has published has ever been proven false,” he added.

Hannity noted that the New York Times published Trump’s tax returns during the campaign, despite the information being illegally obtained.

Watch the discussion above and don’t miss the Assange interview on “Hannity,” tonight at 10pm ET. Additional parts of the interview will also air on the show this week.
