Global tensions are rising in the face of a new banking crisis
and the breakdown of US/Russian negotiations over Syria:

Some observers think that the attack on Syrian government
troops last week represents a “silent coup” against the efforts
of the Obama Administration to end the suffering through the
State Department diplomacy of John Kerry.

Russia has responded by aggressively backing what they and
President Assad hope is a final push to recapture control of
Aleppo as well as preparing their Homeland for possible attack.

Reports indicate Turkey may be siding with Russia………again.

The US is on shaky ground here for many reasons including that there is no legal basis for its military intervention in Syria under international law:  https://stateofthenation2012.com/?p=50867

This is all going on in the context of a presidential election in which the candidates seem incapable of getting past personal animosity with talk of sex tapes and tax returns while the serious business of the country is ignored.

If there really was a military coup, can we expect that the Pentagon
will listen to a President Trump………or even a President Clinton?
Will there even be an election?

The situation is very fluid so predictions are difficult. Who wins on
the ground and how the derivatives crisis at Deutsche Bank plays
out will all impact the course of events in the coming days.

Stay tuned: interesting times have arrived!
