A video capturing the incident shows Clinton being taken into a van by security officers, as previously reported by Morning News USA.

Hillary Clinton replacement?

Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday and is taking required medication. As reported by CNN, Clinton’s doctor, Lisa Bardack, said that the former secretary of state became “overheated” and “dehydrated,” but is doing fine. Bardack added that Clinton should rest and possibly change her schedule.

Dr. Bardack also serves as the chairman of internal medicine at the Mount Kisco Medical Group.

A parody account for Republican presidential nominee Trump was quick to suggest that, in light of Clinton’s health issues, she should resign. “I’m praying for a recovery for @HillaryClinton,” the account tweeted. “In the meantime – it is only fair to the American people for her to resign her campaign.” This idea however is not far-fetched.

Soon thereafter after the tweet from Donald Trump’s parody account, a more concrete news emerged that the Democratic National Committee could hold a meeting to consider Clinton’s replacement. Journalist David Shuster wrote in a tweet, “Clarification from dem operatives @HillaryClinton pneumonia: Expect emergency DNC meeting to CONSIDER replacement. #HillarysHealth.”

Hillary Clinton replacements: Tim Kaine, Joe Biden, or Bernie Sanders?

Should Clinton be replaced, the likeliest replacements are Tim Kaine, Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders. Nevertheless, there has been no statement issued by Clinton’s campaign regarding her dropping out of the race.

TeachingHistory.org notes that American people vote for the states’ electors, who form the Electoral College and then choose the vice president and president. The party could consider a replacement should the process is interrupted by a vacancy between the period of general election and the Electoral College casting their vote.

Clinton is 68. According to Medscape, studies reveal that those older than 65 suffering from pneumonia have a higher mortality rate. However, Dr. Bardack said that Clinton is doing fine.

“[Clinton] was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule. While at this morning’s event, she became overheated and dehydrated,” Dr. Bardack said. “I have just examined her and she is now re-hydrated and recovering nicely.”
