US Foreign Policy and Our Horrible Choices For President

Hillary is a war criminal whose foreign policy record is on a par with George Bush and Barack Obama: interventionist and neocon inspired. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article44419.htm

Bernie Sanders has failed miserably at stepping up boldly to challenge the MIC and all that means for accomplishing his professed goals.

Rubio, Cruz, Graham, Fiorina and the rest of the Neocon Republican hawks who endorse more lies for more wars are complete non-starters for those who despise their imperial ways.

Only Trump among the likely possible winners of their party’s nomination has shown any semblance of sanity in his pronouncements on the key issues of dealing with the Russians and avoiding more wasteful wars.

Whether he is the true fascist as many including Webster Tarpley so gleefully claim or is just merely the best alternative among a pathetic bunch of quasi-psychopathic pretenders to leadership, the possible ascension of such a verbally abusive and thin-skinned character is just another indicator of how low our politics has become in 2016.

America is in deep, deep trouble. It’s prospects for a soft-landing
restoration of any degree of peace and prosperity in the years ahead is virtually zero. Welcome to the Empire of Chaos.

As we are seeing with the disturbances surrounding Trump’s last few political rallies, the divisiveness festering for decades below the surface has percolated into the open for all to see.

Fueled in part by Trump’s needless and clumsy remarks about various groups that are now being exploited by his political enemies in a clear attempt to destroy his chances to govern 8 months before the election, we are witnessing some of the most dramatic events in American history.

The destruction of both major parties is a real possibility in 2016. The suspension of the election is not beyond the imagination nor is the prospect of martial law being imposed if the economy worsens and/or racial discord continues to increase.

With Hillary a possible criminal defendant, Cruz a dubious American citizen, Rubio facing similar allegations, the Bush clan sidelined, the “socialist” Sanders making his move for control of the government and The Donald looming over all them with his amazing repertoire of claims about 9/11, Bush lying about WMD in Iraq, his willingness to work with Putin and be “balanced” in his dealings with the Palestinians, this has been the single most fascinating election in my lifetime and perhaps ever.

Does any of it matter in terms of what will change next year? Very likely not……………as this observer asserts:

But, to the extent that there is something called History and that
revolutionary events do actually occur as we saw with the colonists taking on the British Crown after 1776, the French citizens over-throwing their King a few years later, the Russians ending the reign of the Tsars in 1917, the surge of independence of former colonial countries after WWII and the turmoil of today’s color revolutions and Arab spring revolts, things do change even if done violently or in a manner that can’t be foreseen.

What is certain at this unique moment is that a quickening is upon us, an end times of sort that is shaking the foundations of the entire planet and the lives of all of us.

Perhaps something as over-the top and beyond the radar of the MSM as the agenda of Andrew Basiago is lurking over the horizon ready to impact our future in ways difficult to observe under present conditions. http://andy2016.com/proposals/

It is hard to say. We will know soon enough. History will proceed on its course whether we approve or disagree. These are challenging times for all of us as we recall the words of William Butler Yates: “The best lack all conviction while the worst are full of passionate intensity!”

Where are the saints to pull us out of this mess? Some see Pope Francis as the leading candidate for that title:

To the extent he embraces the political agenda behind the theory of man-made global warming, I disagree.

The better choice for an optimistic future lies with the BRICS/Silk
Road efforts of China and Russia: http://worldlandbridge.com/

Our options for the next president who will ostensibly be in charge of US foreign policy leaves much to be desired as the world spins dangerously out of control towards a possible nuclear confrontation in the months ahead.
