I encourage concerned citizens to study the
articles that appear below to see that the Obama
Administration is determined to expand the war in
Syria in order to achieve its goal of regime change.
The history of the Iraq war which was justified by
President Bush based on lies, and the entire
foreign policy of the US over many decades clearly
indicates a systematic attempt to mislead the American
people and to establish dominance in the region.
The presidential candidates need to speak out against
this grave injustice and violation of international law.
Yet, sadly, only the deeply flawed Donald Trump has
shown the courage to do so while his motives in outing
President Bush may have been limited to dispatching
Jeb from the race for the White House.
Trump succeeded in doing so but may have simply
raised the issue of 9/11 as a clever election ploy rather
than as an authentic gesture of concern for the truth.
Moreover, as the situation continues to deteriorate with Turkey and Saudi Arabia poised to invade Syria if the US gives it the green light and/or commits thousands of its own troops to the fray, it is hard to think of a more ominous situation than this possible start of WWIII.
The Sanders’s followers appear to accept that their man is sufficiently anti-war because of his vote not to invade Iraq in 2003. One would think they had learned their lesson from relying on that ploy with Obama in 2008.
But the sad truth is that Sanders record is essentially
the same as Obama, Clinton and the neocon-inspired
Republicans who cling to visions of Pax Americana even
after 15+ years of failed interventions.
Cheney’s Long War is ascendant and about to get worse.
Little seems available to stop it other than Putin’s willingness
to intervene on behalf of Assad. Despite the seeming
progress by Kerry and Lavrov in establishing a ceasefire
the information below and from other sources
indicate that the real agenda remains fixed and that the
truce is merely a stalling tactic.
I urge all those concerned about this crisis to call Senator
Sanders and request he speak out against further escalation
of the conflict and that he strongly oppose placing US boots
on the ground in another example of mission creep.
His unwillingness to do so undermines any sense of
legitimacy his campaign otherwise might have in claiming
the high road of resistance to Washington’s complicity in
these war crimes as detailed below.
