Clinton & Bush: Two sides of the same counterfeit coin

Pure Political Theater

The article below by Kurt Nimmo accurately expresses my
understanding of contemporary American politics.

FORGET TRUMP AND BERNIE: HERE’S WHY CLINTON
OR BUSH WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT

Rather than having a true two party system, what we have is
a Kabuki dance between two wings of the same corrupt
political establishment named Republicans and Democrats.

As the writer explains in detail with support from pundits and
observers of our elections, the dominant force in our country
is the financial sector which has created a phony system of
debt slavery through control of the printing presses.

The repeal of Glass-Steagall under Bill Clinton, the decision
in Citizens United by the Supreme Court in 2010, the defeat
of Ron Paul’s attempt to audit the Federal Reserve and the
bail-out of the banks in 2008 have all contributed mightily to
the worsening of the problems built into the banking system
with the onset of the Federal Reserve Bank in 1913.

The “stranglehold of the financial elite” described by the author includes the dominance of the military-industrial complex and the perpetuation of wars of aggression for reasons of national security or humanitarian intervention which both parties gladly back, usually with the utmost enthusiasm.

The Princeton report cited by Nimmo describing how our system has morphed into an oligarchy resonates with what we see unfolding daily across the nation.

The media play their role through their reliance on phony
stories spoon-fed to them by government spokesmen and
repeated by embedded journalists.

The public is further dumbed-down by being saturated with
the make-believe world of entertainment and sports which
are used to distract us from what is done in our name, with
our money and often with our children when they are put in
harm’s ways to fight wars based on lies.

The tragedy of modern America is reflected in a broad range
of activities that include our reliance on torture abroad, spying
at home, massive corruption by our corporations, and conflicts
of interests by decision-makers at all levels of government.

It is also reflected in the decay of the moral order as we see
with celebrities like Bill Cosby, Bruce Jenner, Kim Kardashian
and many others who have achieved fame while helping
Americans “amuse themselves to death” as described by
Neil Portman 30 years ago.

My efforts to form a new political party remain in abeyance for
a variety of reasons. As I and others like those quoted have
indicated, the time is well past for the polity to articulate a loud
NO to the criminality and silliness that have overtaken our once
beloved Constitutional Republic.

Is it too late to turn back from this Huxwellian world our children
are about to inherit? Can the efforts of folks like Gerald Celente
with his program to Occupy Peace change the fate of America?

Can we “secure the Blessings of Liberty for ourselves and our
posterity” or will the pure political theater of the up-coming
election keep us locked into the current travesty?

These are the difficult questions responsible people must address
as the future rushes towards us in a world that often seems beyond
our control and understanding.
