After Nancy Pelosi accused him of throwing a “temper tantrum” during a meeting, President Trump on Thursday fired back at the House speaker, calling her “crazy Nancy” and “a mess.”
“She’s a mess, look, lets face it,” Trump said.
The president accused Pelosi of not understanding the pending United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement on trade, which must pass the House, the Washington Examiner reported
“She does not understand it. And [administration trade officials] sort of feel she is disintegrating before their eyes,” Trump said.
The president questioned the House speaker’s mental state.
“She’s not the same person; she’s lost it,” he said.
On Wednesday, Pelosi claimed that during a meeting she and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., had with Trump, the president had a “temper tantrum.”
She further claimed Trump needed “an intervention.”
“I pray for the president of the United States. I wish his staff, or family or administration would have an intervention,” she said.
On Thursday, Trump called it a “very sort of nasty type statement.”
He chastised the Democratic-led House as a “do nothing Congress.”
“They have done absolutely nothing other than investigate,” he said.
