Coulter is right: Trump Should Have Hired ’10 More’ Like Bannon

By Sandy Fitzgerald | NEWSMAX

President Donald Trump shouldn’t have fired chief strategist Steve Bannon, Ann Coulter said Friday — he “should’ve hired ten more like him.”

“This makes it appear that Trump is easily manipulable by the media,” the outspoken conservative columnist told The Daily Caller in an email. “They just need to give all credit to any White House staffer they want to get rid of. I dread to think of who the media decide to get rid of next.”

Bannon, a former Breitbart editor and staunch supporter of Trump’s agenda, left on Friday as White House chief strategist, barely 24 hours after Newsmax reported his firing was imminent.

Officially, the White House said Trump accepted Bannon’s resignation, but sources told Newsmax Trump was angry over his strategist’s claims to the leftist American Prospect magazine that there was “no military solution” to North Korea.

Trump had also been upset lately about a book that credited the former Breitbart executive for his win in 2016, reports the Daily Caller.

The controversy put Trump’s “nose out of joint,” said Coulter.

“Not good news,” Coulter wrote. “Instead of firing Bannon, because Trump had his nose out of joint about the media giving Bannon all credit for the victory, Trump should’ve hired ten more like him. Media heads would have exploded.”

Coulter said she agrees with Trump that Bannon wasn’t responsible for his win.

“Of course, Trump won the nomination and the presidency of his own will!” Coulter said. “Bannon supported those issues and supported Trump at least as early as January 2016. Who else in the White House did? Most of the White House staff wasn’t on the Trump train until after the election.”
