President Donald Trump illegally ordered a missile strike on Syria without a declaration of war and on the basis of a false rumor concerning the recent chemical explosion in the town of Khan Sheikhoun.
Trump had no legitimacy in launching such an unprovoked act of military aggression against an innocent sovereign nation. Neither does his Secretary of State Rex Tillerson have any right to say that President Bashar al Assad has “no role” in Syria’s future.
There are many political consequences of this unlawful and unilateral action by the POTUS. Trump’s extremely impulsive decision to attack a sovereign nation reflects his same erratic behavior on Twitter.
By launching nearly 50 cruise missiles into an already battered war-torn nation reveals a man who is completely unfit to lead the United States of America. He certainly shouldn’t be anywhere near the U.S. arsenal of military weaponry. He ought to be impeached post haste along with his Vice President Mike Pence. They are both closet Neocons who are surreptitiously working to advance the Greater Israel project.
The impeachment of Trump should not begin until Paul Ryan has been properly deposed and Senator Rand Paul is elevated to House Speaker. This nation — more than ever — needs a balanced leader who is level-headed and not dangerously impetuous. Senator Rand Paul has already set the record straight concerning Trumps unlawful military assault. The political repercussions of this extremely ill-advised and reckless attack are far-reaching both here at home and abroad. Particularly concerning his loyal base, the Left will now be justified in calling Trump a warmonger. They can now say — factually — that he is totally ill-equipped to function as Commander-in-Chief. He just showed the entire Alt Right media to have been mislead with this one foolhardy act of military aggression. And, he has proven himself to be downright dangerous with his finger so close to the switch.
