Democratic Strategist And Clinton Ally: I Can’t Support Hillary Now
by Hannity.com Staff
Longtime friend of the Clintons and Democratic Strategist Doug Schoen is pulling his support of Hillary Clinton just 8 days ahead of election day. Schoen made his decision following the revelations that the FBI had found new emails relevant the the Hillary Clinton email server case.
Schoen took to The Hill to announce his reassessment of his support for the Democratic nominee, saying that the new revelations could lead to a “constitutional crisis” should Clinton be elected.
“[R]egardless of what Secretary Clinton did or didn’t do or what her aide, Huma Abedin, did or didn’t do or even what Anthony Weiner did or didn’t do, I am now convinced that we will be facing the very real possibility of a constitutional crisis with many dimensions and deleterious consequences should Secretary Clinton win the election,” Schoen wrote in an op ed.”In the best case scenario, there will be at the very least a criminal investigation of President-elect Clinton.”
Schoen goes on to say that Clinton would be “paralyzed and unable to act” should she be elected under a cloud of scandal, something reminiscent of the scandal-plagued presidency of Richard Nixon.
“There will be no goodwill or honeymoon period for Clinton,” Schoen added. “Her first 100-days agenda will take a backseat to partisan divisions and polarization with little chance of constructive legislative action occurring.”
Although Schoen goes on to say that he does not see eye-to-eye with the policies of Donald Trump, the new developments prohibit him from voting for Hillary.
