Hillary Lawyer Ejected From Court For Practicing Law Without a License

The law-evading Hillary Clinton campaign-staffer who was recently snared by undercover video-journalist James O’Keefe was also kicked out a courtroom when she tried to practice law without a law license in 2014.

Christine Gupana, a law graduate and a Hillary For Nevada fellow, was caught urging apparent Clinton staffers and volunteers to register voters without first getting a needed license from a county clerk. “Do whatever you can. Whatever you can get away with, just do it, until you get kicked out, like, totally,” Gupana said in O’Keefe’s video.

Gupana has gone into virtual hiding since the video’s release, and Nevada election officials in the Secretary of State’s office have opened a formal investigation into her conduct on the Clinton campaign.

In 2014, court records reveal that Gupana was removed from a case after a judge found that she was not a member of the U.S. District Court’s Bar, and thus not licensed to work on the case.

Gupana was found to be in violation of legal rules while representing the defendant in the case Zarandioun v. US Department of Homeland Security. “NOTICE: of Non-Compliance with Special Order 109: that Christina Gupana is in violation of Special Order 109 and Local Rule IA 10-1. You are required to become a member of the U.S. District Court’s Bar and register for the Courts Case Management and Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) program,” the Court stated on January 2, 2014.

The Court invited Gupana to complete the admission process and register as required.

But on March 11, 2014, the Court was still waiting for Gupana to register for the Bar. “NOTICE: of Non-Compliance with Special Order 109 and Attorney Action Required: that Christina R. Gupana is in violation of Special Order 109 and Local Rule IA 10-1. 1. The Court has no record of you being admitted to the U.S. District Courts bar,” the Court stated.

“Participation in the electronic filing system became mandatory for all attorneys effectiveJanuary 1, 2006. You are required to become a member of the U.S. District Court’s Bar prior to registering for the Courts Case Management and Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) program 3,” the Court added.

The defendant got a new attorney, and kicked Gupana from the case on March 20, 2014.

Gupana graduated from UNLV Law School, according to a self-written bio, and is “admitted to practice in the state of Nevada.”

Gupana was a key member of the Clinton operation in Nevada. She has not only been photographed in a small office group with Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, but she was also photographed with Podesta’s hand on her right shoulder after a jog, just days before the O’Keefe video came out. Gupana did not return a request for comment.
