Thought the Iowa caucuses were over and done with? Think again! Donald Trump is now demanding a rematch against caucus winner Ted Cruz, after claiming the Texas Senator ‘stole’ the election and committed ‘fraud!’ See his full Twitter rant below!
Looks like someone never learned the importance of good sportsmanship! After loosing to Ted Cruz, 45, in the all-important Iowa caucuses on Feb. 1, Donald Trump, 69, took to Twitter on Feb. 3 to unleash yet another tirade against his opponent, this time accusing him of campaign “fraud” and demanding an election rematch! But really, are you even surprised?
Though he may have sounded — dare we say it — gracious during his speech immediately following the Iowa caucuses on Feb. 1, it didn’t take long for Trump to fall back into his old ways. Taking to Twitter on Feb. 3, the former Celebrity Apprentice star, went on yet another one of his famous rants in which he not only accused Ted of committing “fraud,” but also demanded that a new election take place.
“Ted Cruz didn’t win Iowa, he illegally stole it. That is why all of the polls were so wrong any why he got more votes than anticipated. Bad!,” he originallytweeted before deleting and then retweeting it, making sure not to include the word “illegally” the second time around. That’s right, Donald. We caught you.
Over the course of the next hour, Trump continued to detail his grievances against Ted, claiming that the Senator’s campaign team put out a release prior to the start of the polls telling his supporters that fellow Republican Ben Carson had dropped out of the race in order to steal his votes.

Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified.

The State of Iowa should disqualify Ted Cruz from the most recent election on the basis that he cheated- a total fraud!

“During primetime of the Iowa Caucus, Cruz put out a release that @RealBenCarson was quitting the race, and to caucus (or vote) for Cruz,” wrote Trump. “Many people voted for Cruz over Carson because of this Cruz fraud. Also, Cruz sent out a VOTER VIOLATION certificate to thousands of voters.” At this time, there’s no evidence that Ted’s alleged tactics against Carson gained him additional votes. The final average of polls in Iowa put Ben at about eight percent, meaning he did better than polls suggested.
But Trump didn’t stop there (because, of course) as he leveled other claims against Ted, including that the Texas senator falsely suggested he supported Obamacare. “Cruz strongly told thousands of caucusgoers (voters) that Trump was strongly in favor of Obamacare and ‘choice’ – a total lie!” tweeted Trump.

Meanwhile, Ted’s camp was having none of the Donald’s Twitter antics, claiming the accusations were nothing more than an attempt by Trump to return to the spotlight after his loss. “The reality hit the reality TV star in Iowa so nobody is talking about him now. So he’s trying to regain some attention on Twitter,” said Ted’s spokesperson, Rick Tyler, in a statement to NBC News. He then added that “there are Twitter addiction support groups, so he should seek out his local chapter.” BOOM!
Ted won the Iowa Republican caucus on Feb. 1 with 28 percent of the vote. Trump finished second with 24 percent, just above Sen. Marco Rubio, who received 23 percent of the vote, while Ben Carson finished a distant fourth with 9 percent of the vote. And we for one, are just fine with leaving it at that.
