If he fires him now then Rod Rosenstein doesn’t have to appear at any senate hearings.
Rosenstein would probably prefer that. Keeping him on the job for now allows Trump to track his conversations or actions with the other traitors.
Why let the guy off the hook right now when he still might serve a purpose?
They can still shoot/hang/lethal inject the guy later. My vote would be for Trump to throw all of the traitors into that Hawaiian volcano like a sacrifice and a warning to any future traitors.
