Brown was speaking in Orange County, defending\u00a0State Assembly newcomer Josh Newman (D-Fullerton), who is facing a recall effort after voting for Brown\u2019s new transportation\u00a0taxes in April.<\/p>\n

The new tax raises existing gas taxes \u2014 already\u00a0among the highest<\/a>\u00a0in the nation \u2014 by 12 cents per gallon, with higher taxes on diesel, and slaps car owners with higher annual registration fees. Critics have pointed out that the burden of the tax falls most heavily on middle-class Californians.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So the millions of illegal aliens in California\u2019s sanctuary cities aren\u2019t the freeloaders nor the millions on food stamps and welfare. It is the evil law abiding taxpayers of the state who are the freeloaders according to the hateful Democrat Governor. There will come a time when the taxpayers of this country will say \u2018enough is enough\u2019.<\/p>\n
