Jerry Brown claimed the law will protect illegal immigrants living quietly in the shadows of society from law enforcement intent on &#8220;yanking them out of there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think it&#8217;s terrible,&#8221; Homan said, adding that Brown&#8217;s action put politics in front of public safety.<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Prank California highway signs &#39;welcome&#39; felons, illegal immigrants &amp; MS-13 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Br5TCzmhUu\">https:\/\/t.co\/Br5TCzmhUu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Fox News (@FoxNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FoxNews\/status\/948299729888301057?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 2, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>He said that rank-and-file police officers are opposed to the new measure and that Brown&#8217;s administration didn&#8217;t consult them before approving the law.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If [Brown] thinks he is protecting the community, he&#8217;s doing quite the opposite,&#8221; Homan said. &#8220;[Brown] is knowingly putting law enforcement at risk.<\/p>\n<div class=\"\">\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s no sanctuary from law enforcement,&#8221; he said. &#8220;California better hold on tight &#8211; they&#8217;re about to see a lot more deportation officers.
