In a Monday reply to Neera Tanden, former Hillary Clinton advisor and President of the Center for American Progress &#8211;\u00a0a liberal think tank founded by John Podesta, the\u00a0<em>WikiLeaks Task Force<\/em>\u00a0tweeted\u00a0&#8220;<b>2. Russia was not @wikileaks source. Deal with it.&#8221;<\/b><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Would Trump have won without Russia\u2019s help? Trump (@realDonaldTrump) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realDonaldTrump\/status\/816620855958601730?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 4, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>WikiLeaks Task Force<\/em>\u00a0twitter account is described as an &#8220;<strong>Official @WikiLeaks support account<\/strong>,&#8221; which exists to\u00a0&#8220;<strong>Correct misinformation about #WikiLeaks, amplify our publications<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-images\/Assange%20%281%29.jpg\" alt=\"asd\" width=\"435\" height=\"245\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"f8ced3a1-bbb5-4459-a66b-668d6003636f\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While the US intelligence community is apparently sticking to the Russia narrative, President Trump definitively hedged his opinion on WikiLeaks&#8217; source.\u00a0At a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2017-07-06\/trump-plans-pretty-severe-things-retaliation-against-north-korea\">July 2017 press conference<\/a>\u00a0before a scheduled meeting with Vladimir Putin, President\u00a0Trump\u00a0fielded questions about whether he accepts the U.S. intelligence community\u2019s verdict that Russia interfered in the 2016 election in a bid to help him defeat Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>Trump responded that others might have been culpable, in addition from Russia.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>&#8220;I think it was Russia and I think it could have been other people and other countries,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 Mr. Trump said. \u201c<strong>A lot of people interfered. I think it\u2019s been happening for a long time<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump also said the U.S. intelligence community has made mistakes in the past and its judgment is open to question. As he has done in the past when discussing Russian hacking,\u00a0<strong>he mentioned the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003<\/strong>. Intelligence assessments claiming that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction turned out to be inaccurate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>I remember listening about Iraq,<\/strong>\u201d Trump said. He added: \u201c<strong>Nobody really knows. Nobody really knows for sure.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>WikiLeaks Task Force\u00a0<\/em>tweet comes on the heels of a\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2018-01-01\/assange-tweets-mysterious-encryption-key-3am-sparks-rumors-about-his-safety-andor\">cryptic 3AM (London time) tweet<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0by Julian Assange containing a 60-character code and an embedded link to the MIA music video &#8220;Paper Planes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"tl\" dir=\"ltr\">fb4e568623b5f8cf7e932e6ba7eddc0db9f42a712718f488bdc0bf880dd3 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/F0f5Gcsgeo\">https:\/\/t.co\/F0f5Gcsgeo<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Defend Assange Campaign (@DefendAssange) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DefendAssange\/status\/947664148376182784?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 1, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Several people speculated that the tweet signaled an imminent new WikiLeaks document release, while others suggested Assange was highlighting\u00a0Maya Arulpragasam, MIA, for a reason.\u00a0 As\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/2016\/sep\/11\/mia-is-the-musician-paranoid-or-is-everyone-out-to-get-her\">The Guardian<\/a>\u00a0pointed out last fall, Arulpragasam has her own &#8220;Visa&#8221; issues with the United States after her renewal application got mysteriously delayed back in 2014 and has been stuck in limbo ever since&#8230;<strong>a fact which she attributed to having &#8220;supported Wikileaks and stuff.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>There is a song on the new album called \u201cVisa\u201d that takes aim at American immigration policy, something Arulpragasam unwillingly knows a lot about.\u00a0<strong>Her application to renew an expired visa has been stuck in mysterious bureaucratic limbo since 2014.\u00a0<\/strong>In an age when British popstars with any sort of US fanbase are routinely granted permission to work in America, her two-year hobbling seems unconventional.\u00a0<strong>\u201cObviously what\u2019s happening to me is very deliberate,\u201d she says. \u201cI don\u2019t know who\u2019s doing it, it\u2019s like fucking playing Cluedo.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In general, though, she does not pitch her suspicions small.\u00a0<strong>\u201cOn paper I\u2019ve supported WikiLeaks and stuff. And now Hillary Clinton is running for president. And until that\u2019s solved I might have a problem, because anyone who ever associated with that website is going to get fucked up. Even if you delivered [WikiLeaks] their takeaway, you are going to be on a list. Do you know what I mean?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I ask her if she ever worries she\u2019s paranoid and she replies, smartly, that in the aftermath of Edward Snowden\u2019s revelations about the NSA it\u2019s wrong \u201cto even use the word \u2018paranoia\u2019 as if it\u2019s a weird condition. Because it\u2019s common as a fucking cold now. Everyone has to have an element of paranoia&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Russia denial also follows several weeks of unsettling activity involving WikiLeaks and Julian Assange. In mid-December,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2017-12-20\/wikileaks-lawyers-office-stormed-professional-operation-assange-then-tweets-video-se\">Three hooded figures dressed in black broke into the Madrid office of WikiLeaks lawyer Baltasar Garzon<\/a>\u00a0in a dawn raid.\u00a0<strong>The intruders covered security cameras with tape<\/strong>, and there were no signs that anything was taken &#8211; however police are analyzing Garzon&#8217;s computer equipment to determine whether or not any files were taken or copied. &#8220;<strong>They have not taken what they have been looking for<\/strong>,&#8221; Garzon told\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.elperiodico.com\/es\/politica\/20171219\/encapuchados-asaltan-despacho-baltasar-garzon-6504830\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">El Periodico<\/a>, and told\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/cadenaser.com\/ser\/2017\/12\/19\/tribunales\/1513665844_902009.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ser<\/a><\/em>\u00a0magazine that his\u00a0clients\u2019 security \u201chas not been affected,\u201d and that the people &#8220;acted very quickly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hours after the break-in, Julian Assange tweeted a Jimmy Dore video which contains a clip of Assange\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=iS28bNfiuA4\"><strong>strongly hinting that murdered DNC IT staffer Seth Rich was their source<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-images\/sethricc.jpg\" alt=\"asd\" width=\"432\" height=\"432\" data-entity-type=\"file\" data-entity-uuid=\"e1289833-5b62-4fbd-81ae-00a04ee815ce\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Seth Rich<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The next week, Julian Assange&#8217;s twitter account was mysteriously\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2017-12-20\/wikileaks-lawyers-office-stormed-professional-operation-assange-then-tweets-video-se\">deactivated for several hours<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And as we reported yesterday, a document found on convicted pedophile\u00a0Anthony Weiner&#8217;s laptop\u00a0confirms the the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2017-12-31\/weiner-laptop-doc-assange-warrant-issued-2-weeks-after-swedish-election-leaks\">Obama administration was implicated<\/a>\u00a0in a plot to silence Julian Assange before the 2010 Swedish election &#8211; as an arrest warrant was issued for the WikiLeaks founder two weeks after the US Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden sent a cable detailing their concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,\u00a0Congressman Dana Rohrabacher travelled to London in August with journalist Charles Johnson for a meeting with Assange, where Rohrabacher\u00a0said\u00a0<strong>the WikiLeaks founder offered &#8220;firsthand&#8221; information proving that the Trump campaign did not collude with Russia, and which would refute the Russian hacking theory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After President Trump denied knowledge of the potential deal, Rohrabacher raged at Trump&#8217;s Chief of Staff, John Kelly, for constructing a &#8220;wall&#8221; around President Trump by &#8220;<strong>people who do not want to expose this fraud<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps Trump will take a blowtorch to the hornet&#8217;s nest and pardon Assange in exchange for\u00a0<strong>proof\u00a0<\/strong>Russia wasn&#8217;t WikiLeaks&#8217;\u00a0source, per the deal\u00a0Rep.
