[\u2026]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The people familiar with Nunes\u2019 plans said the goal is to highlight what some committee Republicans see as corruption and conspiracy in the upper ranks of federal law enforcement.<\/strong>\u00a0The group hopes to release a report early next year detailing their concerns about the DOJ and FBI, and they might seek congressional votes to declassify elements of their evidence. &#8211;<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2017\/12\/20\/house-republicans-quietly-investigate-doj-fbi-310121\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico<\/a><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>When pressed for details, Reps Mike Conway (R-TX) and Peter King (R-NY) were mum, with Conway telling POLITICO, &#8220;I don&#8217;t want talk about what we do behind closed doors.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Nunes&#8217; has gone on record several times to discuss his feelings over the government law enforcement, telling\u00a0<em>Fox News<\/em>\u00a0&#8220;I hate to use the word corrupt, but they&#8217;ve become at least so dirty that\u00a0<strong>who&#8217;s watching the watchmen<\/strong>? Who&#8217;s investigating these people?&#8221; adding &#8220;<strong>There is no one<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>House and Senate Republicans have joined countless voices, including President Trump&#8217;s outside counsel,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2017\/12\/12\/trump-lawyers-want-second-special-counsel-to-oversee-mueller\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jay Sekulow<\/a>, to launch a second Special Counsel to investigate the FBI and Justice Department to find out what role the salacious dossier played in the Trump-Russia investigation, as well as a trove of anti-Trump text messages sent between lead FBI investigator Peter Strzok to his FBI attorney mistress Lisa Page while the two of them were working together on both the Clinton email investigation and the Trump-Russia investigation.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"quote_start\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"quote_end\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Republicans in the Nunes-led group\u00a0<strong>suspect the FBI and DOJ have worked either to hurt Trump or aid his former campaign rival Hillary Clinton, a sense that has pervaded parts of the president\u2019s inner circle.<\/strong>\u00a0Trump has long called the investigations into whether Russia meddled in the 2016 election a \u201cwitch hunt,\u201d and\u00a0<strong>on Tuesday, his son Donald Trump Jr.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2017\/12\/20\/trump-jr-president-agenda-undermined-306359\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told a crowd in Florida<\/a>\u00a0the probes were part of a \u201crigged system\u201d by \u201cpeople at the highest levels of government\u201d who were working to hurt the president.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>House Intel Committee member Jim Jordan (R-OH) told\u00a0<em>Fox News<\/em>\u00a0yesterday that\u00a0<strong>they are now considering contempt of the FBI and DOJ leadership and subpoenas over anti-Trump bias:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"quote_start\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"quote_end\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>I think they were putting together a plan to stop Donald Trump from being the next president of the United States.<\/strong>\u00a0I think it\u2019s amazing in spite of the fact that the Democrats were against him, the Republican establishment was against him, the mainstream press was against him. and\u00a0<strong>now I believe the FBI and the Justice Department were against him<\/strong>, the American people still said that\u2019s the guy we want to be the next president.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201c<strong>I believe that fake dossier was used as the basis to get Warren to now what we learn about Peter Strzok and Bruce Ohr and the FBI and the Justice Department<\/strong>,\u201d said Jordan, adding, \u201c<strong>Everything points to the fact that there was an orchestrated plan to try to prevent Donald Trump from becoming the President of the United States<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/video.foxnews.com\/v\/video-embed.html?video_id=5687237618001&amp;loc=zerohedge.com&amp;ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.zerohedge.com%2Fnews%2F2017-12-22%2Fhouse-republicans-secretly-gathering-evidence-launch-case-against-doj-and-fbi-report&amp;_xcf=\" width=\"466\" height=\"263\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,\u00a0<strong>Trey Gowdy\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; who notably chose not to call on key witness Peter Strzok or demoted DOJ official Bruce Ohr for testimony\u00a0<strong>&#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>is apparently\u00a0<em>not\u00a0<\/em>included in the group seeking to build a case. As\u00a0<em>POLITICO<\/em>\u00a0reports, &#8220;A congressional aide with knowledge of the meetings said Rep.
