As news broke that Michael Flynn would testify that Donald Trump ordered him to talk to the Russians during the transition phase between administrations, the left exploded with glee that actual evidence of \u201cRussian collusion\u201d was in sight and it could bring down Trump.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The reality turned out to be somewhat disappointing for them.<\/p>\n

ABC News reported<\/a>\u00a0that Trump directed Flynn to speak with the Russians \u201cinitially as a way to work together to fight ISIS in Syria.\u201d<\/p>\n

In other words, Trump committed the grievous sin of attempting to work diplomatically with another super power to defeat Islamic terrorism.<\/p>\n

This is hardly the damaging revelation Trump\u2019s enemies had been hoping for.<\/p>\n

\u201cSorry to be a party-pooper but if this is the extent of the \u201cdirective\u201d Flynn received, it\u2019s incredibly mundane,\u201d commented journalist Michael Tracey.<\/p>\n
