Democratic megadonor George Soros transferred $18 billion to his Open Society Foundation which instantly makes his foundation one of the most powerful players in United States politics.<\/p>\n
His donation to Open Society was disclosed on Tuesday.\u00a0The New York Times<\/em><\/a>\u00a0reports that the massive infusion of cash made the foundation the second-largest philanthropic organization in the U.S.<\/p>\n Open Society, which has\u00a0backed<\/a>\u00a0highly controversial groups like Black Lives Matter with millions of dollars, is ramping up its efforts to fight President Donald Trump and his agenda as Soros aims to defeat him at every turn.<\/p>\n \u201cWe must do something to push back against what\u2019s happening here,\u201d Soros\u00a0said<\/a>\u00a0following the 2016 presidential election, pointing to what he termed the \u201cdark forces that have been awakened\u201d by the election.<\/p>\n The Times<\/em>\u00a0specifically mentioned that Soros\u2019 political focus was giving \u201clarge donations to Hillary Clinton and other Democratic politicians.\u201d<\/p>\n A leaked 2016\u00a0memo<\/a>\u00a0from Open Society said that Europe\u2019s refugee crisis should be accepted as the \u201cnew normal\u201d and was great for \u201cnew opportunities\u201d so Soros could spread his anti-borders immigration policies on a global scale.<\/p>\n Emails<\/a>\u00a0leaked in 2017 showed just how much power Soros has over top U.S. politicians like Hillary Clinton who was worried about making sure that Soros was kept \u201chappy.\u201d<\/p>\n A 2015 memo that was supposedly hacked in 2016 revealed that Soros lobbied then-President Obama to accept 100,000 refugees per year and succeeded.<\/p>\n The\u00a0memo<\/a>\u00a0stated:<\/p>\n Over the course of several weeks, we, along with our colleagues in the Washington office led by Stephen Rickard, combined to undertake very active efforts to support a request to the Administration to provide a special allocation of an additional 100,000 refugee slots for Syrians and significantly expanded resources for international aid efforts. George Soros made such a request to President Obama in a recent letter,<\/strong>\u00a0and 18 mayors across America are committed to welcoming refugees to their cities in numbers surpassing the administration\u2019s proposal.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The Obama administration then\u00a0announced<\/a>\u00a0that they would increase the number of refugees admitted into the United States from 70,000 to 100,000.<\/p>\n Soros, who\u00a0argued<\/a>\u00a0in 2016 that Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) were \u201cdoing the work of ISIS,\u201d met with Democratic leaders and donors following Trump\u2019s election win to plot the resistance movement.<\/p>\n \u201cGeorge Soros and other rich liberals who spent tens of millions of dollars trying to elect Hillary Clinton are gathering in Washington for a three-day, closed door meeting to retool the big-money left to fight back against Donald Trump,\u201d\u00a0Politico<\/em><\/a>\u00a0reported the week following the election.<\/p>\n
