Breitbart News exec and former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon ripped into the Washington Post Thursday night at the 603 Alliance\u2019s \u201cTaking On The Establishment\u201d fundraiser\u00a0in\u00a0Manchester, NH \u2014 calling the paper, owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, \u201cpurely part of the apparatus of the Democratic Party,\u201d citing its similar hit pieces on Judge Roy Moore and then-candidate Donald Trump.<\/em><\/h2>\n

At a speech in New Hampshire Thursday night, GOP strategist Steve Bannon compared the accusations against Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore to the release of President Trump\u2019s infamous \u201cAccess Hollywood\u201d video during the 2016 election.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it\u2019s interesting,\u201d\u00a0Bannon told the audience<\/a>. \u201cThe Bezos-Amazon-Washington Post that dropped that dime on Donald Trump, is the same Bezos-Amazon-Washington Post that dropped the dime this afternoon on Judge Roy Moore. Now is that a coincidence? That\u2019s what I mean when I say opposition party, right? It\u2019s purely part of the apparatus of the Democratic Party. They don\u2019t make any bones about it. By the way, I don\u2019t mind it. I\u2019ll call them out every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bannon called out the media saying, \u201cit\u2019s not a free and fair media anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bannon called it the accusations \u201cpolitics of self-destruction,\u201d as he headlined the 603 Alliance\u2019s \u201cTaking On The Establishment\u201d fundraiser benefiting candidates running for the statehouse. Bannon\u2019s defense \u2014 that the Washington Post report was an orchestrated political attack \u2014 echoed Moore\u2019s campaign statement calling the Washington Post report the \u201cvery definition of fake news and intentional defamation.\u201d<\/p>\n
