Former President George H.W. Bush has apologized after actress Heather Lind accused him of sexually assaulting her during a screening of her AMC show, according to a published report.<\/p>\n

The alleged incident occurred four years ago, as Lind posed for a photo with Bush while promoting the AMC show \u201cTurn: Washington’s Spies,\u201d the\u00a0Daily Mail<\/a>\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n

Lind wrote on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>\u00a0Tuesday that Bush touched her \u201cfrom behind from his wheelchair with his wife Barbara Bush by his side,\u201d told her a \u201cdirty joke,\u201d and then touched her again.<\/p>\n

Lind claimed that Barbara Bush \u201crolled her eyes\u201d at Bush, \u201cas if to say \u2018not again.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the post, which has since been deleted, a nearby security guard told Lind that she \u201cshouldn\u2019t have stood next to him for the photo.\u201d<\/p>\n

A representative for Bush, now 93, admitted that the former president might have erred in his \u201cattempt at humor,\u201d the Daily Mail reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Bush would never \u2014 under any circumstance \u2014 intentionally cause anyone distress, and he most sincerely apologizes if his attempt at humor offended Ms. Lind,” Bush’s statement said, the Daily Mail reported.<\/p>\n
