{"id":87497,"date":"2017-10-25T08:02:04","date_gmt":"2017-10-25T12:02:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=87497"},"modified":"2017-10-25T08:09:28","modified_gmt":"2017-10-25T12:09:28","slug":"confirm-by-nsa-doc-syrian-opposition-under-foreign-command-from-beginning-of-cia-incited-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=87497","title":{"rendered":"CONFIRMED BY NSA DOC: Syrian Opposition Under Foreign Command From Beginning Of CIA-Incited War"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Bombshell NSA Memo: Saudi Arabia Ordered Attack On Damascus International Airport With US Knowledge<\/h1>\n<p><!--more-->ZeroHedge.com<\/p>\n<p>The Intercept has\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/theintercept.com\/2017\/10\/24\/syria-rebels-nsa-saudi-prince-assad\/?comments=1#comments\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">just released a new top-secret NSA document<\/a>\u00a0unearthed from leaked intelligence files provided by Edward Snowden which reveals in stunning clarity that\u00a0<strong>the armed opposition in Syria was under the direct command of foreign governments from the early years of the war<\/strong>\u00a0which has now claimed half a million lives.<\/p>\n<p>The US intelligence memo &#8211; marked &#8220;Top Secret&#8221; &#8211;\u00a0<strong>is arguably the most damning piece of evidence to date which gives internal US government confirmation of the direct role that both the Saudi and US governments\u00a0<\/strong><strong>played<\/strong>\u00a0in fueling an armed insurgency which launched massive and well-coordinated\u00a0<strong>attacks on civilians, civilian infrastructure, as well as military targets in pursuit of regime change.<\/strong>\u00a0The NSA report is sourced to the intelligence agency&#8217;s controversial\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2013\/jun\/06\/us-tech-giants-nsa-data\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PRISM program<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; which gives the NSA the ability to sweep up all communications and data exchanged through major US internet service providers like Google. US intelligence knew of the secret operation three days in advance yet did not stop it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>According to the document,\u00a0<strong>the Free Syrian Army (FSA) was<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>ordered to &#8220;light up Damascus&#8221; and &#8220;flatten&#8221; the Syrian capital&#8217;s international airport by\u00a0Prince Salman bin Sultan<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; a prominent member of the Saudi royal family tasked with overseeing operations in Syria as a top Saudi intelligence officer. The document further reveals that the &#8220;Saudis sent 120 tons of explosives\/weapons to opposition forces&#8221; &#8211; presumably in the lead up to the operation.<\/p>\n<p>The report not only confirms that the assault happened, but that\u00a0<strong>the Saudi government was &#8220;very pleased&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0with the outcome: &#8220;<strong>Attacks against airport, Presidential palace and other locations occurred on 18 March<\/strong>,&#8221; the memo reads. Not only is Damascus International Airport Syria&#8217;s main civilian transport hub &#8211; which was used by millions each year before the war &#8211; but it remained in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hurriyetdailynews.com\/syria-rebels-rocket-damascus-airport-agency.aspx?pageID=238&amp;nID=46173&amp;NewsCatID=352\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">daily operation for commercial flights in March 2013<\/a>, when Saudi intelligence ordered the attacks with knowledge of US intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>As The Intercept\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/theintercept.com\/2017\/10\/24\/syria-rebels-nsa-saudi-prince-assad\/?comments=1#comments\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A number of videos posted by Syrian opposition media on the day of the attacks purport to show rebel fighters\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=iQLB9UXayNk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">firing rockets<\/a>\u00a0at the same sites mentioned in the U.S. document. A number of videos posted by Syrian opposition media on the day of the attacks purport to show rebel fighters\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=iQLB9UXayNk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">firing rockets<\/a>\u00a0at the same sites mentioned in the U.S. document. Local media\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/alwatannews.net\/article\/42963\/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B1%D8%A3%D9%8A\/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%8A%D8%B4-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D8%B1-%D9%8A%D9%87%D8%A7%D8%AC%D9%85-%D9%82%D8%B5%D8%B1-%D8%AA%D8%B4%D8%B1%D9%8A%D9%86-%D9%88%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B7%D8%A7%D8%B1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reports<\/a>\u00a0from that day described an attack in which rockets struck within the areas of the presidential palace, a local government security branch, and the airport. A representative of the U.K.-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.akhbaralaalam.net\/index.php?aType=haber&amp;ArticleID=59641\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">quoted<\/a>\u00a0in a story the next day reporting the attacks, stating that they were unable to confirm whether they resulted in casualties.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>However, The Intercept&#8217;s commentary is\u00a0<strong>inaccurate in claiming that the Syrian Observatory (SOHR) did not report casualties from the attack<\/strong>\u00a0as one of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/alwatannews.net\/article\/42963\/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B1%D8%A3%D9%8A\/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%8A%D8%B4-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD%D8%B1-%D9%8A%D9%87%D8%A7%D8%AC%D9%85-%D9%82%D8%B5%D8%B1-%D8%AA%D8%B4%D8%B1%D9%8A%D9%86-%D9%88%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%B7%D8%A7%D8%B1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arabic news sources it links to above (Middle East based Alwatan News), reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The Free Syrian Army targeted Kafr Sousa [an area of Damascus near Mezzeh] and they fired 24 missiles on Damascus airport&#8230;\u00a0<strong>60 people died in yesterday&#8217;s attacks<\/strong>, according to the Syrian Saudi-US role in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2015\/jun\/03\/us-isis-syria-iraq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fueling the jihadist insurgency<\/a>\u00a0from the earliest days of the war in Syria\u00a0has long been\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theamericanconservative.com\/articles\/how-america-armed-terrorists-in-syria\/\" target=\"_blank\"
