They may look scary, but much of the hype around them is a product of sensationalized media coverage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maza accuses the media of being \u201cincentivized to focus on the most extreme and badly behaved members of any protest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, the same could be said of the liberal media\u2019s coverage of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2017\/08\/the-lefts-agents-provocateur\/\">white racist movements and their\u00a0attempt to link the groups\u00a0to President Trump.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>But unlike the so-called alt-right, antifa activists have powerful supporters within the mainstream media who consciously work to downplay the extremism of the masked radicals. Some establishment\u00a0media members even proudly claim the label of antifa.<\/p>\n<p>As\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2017\/10\/busted-n-y-times-staffer-admits-slanting-trump-news\/\">James O\u2019Keefe of Project Veritas recently exposed,<\/a>\u00a0Nick Dudich, audience strategy editor for New York Times Video, admitted he sees slanting the news against Trump as part of his job.<\/p>\n<p>He also claimed to have been a member of the far-left terrorist group in his youth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, I used to be an antifa punk once upon a time,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2017\/10\/10\/nyt-editor-claims-to-be-former-antifa-member-brags-about-anti-trump-bias\/\">Dudich bragged<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He also urged the kinds of tactics antifa commonly deploy against their political opponents to be used against the Trump family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTarget that,\u201d he said of Trump\u2019s businesses. \u201cGet people to boycott going to his hotels. Boycott. \u2026 So a lot of the Trump brands, if you can ruin the Trump brand and you put pressure on his business and you start investigating his business and you start shutting it down, or they\u2019re hacking or other things. He cares about his business more than he cares about being president. He would resign. Or he\u2019d lash out and do something incredibly illegal, which he would have to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i><b>The \u201calt-left\u201d has been around for decades, but conservatives have remained ignorant. As Breitbart News\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/big-journalism\/2017\/08\/31\/physical-assault-journalists-rap-sheet-antifa-10-trump-supporters-0\/\">reported,<\/a>despite liberal journalists complaining about supposed threats from Trump supporters, it is antifa\u00a0which has been solely responsible for recent attacks on journalists attempting to do their job and document the news objectively.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/sign-up-antifa-investigation\/\">A new special report from WND<\/a>\u00a0reveals reporters have been openly defending antifa and cheerleading violence against conservatives since the election of Trump.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2017\/01\/why-leftists-turned-inauguration-day-violent\/\">Rioting, property destruction marred the first day of President Trump\u2019s first\u00a0day in office and served as many Americans\u2019 first introduction to antifa.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>But as the report documents, even before Trump\u2019s inauguration, journalists were defending the masked thugs.<\/p>\n<p>The report says: \u201cNatasha Lennard openly defended antifa and implicitly called Trump a fascist in\u00a0<i>The Nation,<\/i>\u00a0condemning liberals who \u2018cling to institutions,\u2019 instead of fighting the right. \u2018The decision to join the Women\u2019s March or Disrupt #J20 [the inauguration riots] should not be a benchmark for division,\u2019 she wrote. \u2018The line instead should only be drawn when someone\u2026would sooner condemn or even imprison anti-fascist, anti-racist actors before they would see a ceremony affirming and buoying fascism meet with interference.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Actions from antifa have only escalated in recent days. In response to the antifa initiative \u201cDeface Columbus Day,\u201d vandals around the country attacked statues of the great Italian explorer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/2017\/10\/13\/century-old-statue-honoring-columbus-vandalized-in-st-louis.html\">On Thursday, a statue of Christopher Columbus in St. Louis was defaced with the words \u201cBlack Lives Matter.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Statues in Chicago, Illinois; Providence, Rhode Island; New York City and other\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rt.com\/usa\/406177-columbus-day-monument-vandalism\/\">towns and cities around the country have also been damaged in recent days.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Antifa members are also planning a mass protest on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2017\/10\/antifa-mass-uprising-to-remove-fascist-trump\/\">Nov. 4 to \u201cdrive out the Trump\/Pence regime,\u201d spearheaded by the group Refuse Fascism.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Refuse Fascism is a front group for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2016\/07\/revolutionary-communist-party-protests-trump-america\/\">the overtly anti-American Revolutionary Communist Party, which has built what critics call a \u201ccult of personality\u201d around its leader Bob Avakian.<\/a>\u00a0In 2005, Avakian wrote a pamphlet titled\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bobavakian.net\/articles\/coming_civil_war.html\">\u201cThe Coming Civil War and Repolarization for Revolution in the Present Era.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>While liberal reporters may deny it, antifa is only growing in strength.
