Undersheriff Kevin McMahill<\/a>\u00a0appeared on KNPR Radio recently where he admitted that several different types of weapons were fired by the shooter from several different vantage points which were located on the 32nd-floor of Mandalay Bay\u2019s north tower.<\/p>\nThe Undersheriff said that Stephen Paddock had a total of 23 weapons in his room at the time of the shooting and said that several different weapons were fired and that several had jammed.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere were different types of weapons being fired and most certainly the rate which they were being fired,\u201d he said. \u201cAs we told you before, there was twenty-three weapons in the room \u2014 and I can also tell you that the one end room was the one that looked down onto the music festival, the adjacent adjoining room that had a connected door inside had a completely different caliber rifle that he was using as a single shot rifle.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI am one-hundred percent confident that [Paddock] was solely responsible for pulling the trigger on all those weapons,\u201d he added. \u201cThere were two distinct vantage points.\u201d<\/p>\n
McMahill said that Paddock fired at the airport fuel tanks before he \u2018opened up fire into masses of people,\u2019 but later said that Paddock fired onto the crowd from an elevated position after he had shot security guard Jesus Campos at 9:59 p.m. which is 6 minutes before the automatic gunfire rang out.<\/p>\n
