{"id":85505,"date":"2017-10-05T18:40:59","date_gmt":"2017-10-05T22:40:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=85505"},"modified":"2017-10-05T18:46:52","modified_gmt":"2017-10-05T22:46:52","slug":"nfl-players-union-teamed-up-with-george-soros-to-fund-leftist-advocacy-groups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=85505","title":{"rendered":"CONFIRMED: Soros &#038; NFL Player&#8217;s Union Partnered To Fund Liberal Resistance Groups"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>NFL players\u2019 union teamed up with George Soros to fund leftist advocacy groups<\/h1>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Tax documents show NFLPA activism goes beyond take-a-knee protests<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/launch.newsinc.com\/?type=VideoPlayer\/Single&amp;widgetId=1&amp;trackingGroup=69016&amp;playlistId=19132&amp;siteSection=91568_pp&amp;videoId=32985661\" width=\"590\" height=\"332\" frameborder=\"no\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>By Valerie Richardson &#8211; The Washington Times<\/p>\n<p>Even before its feud over the national anthem with President Trump, the NFL Players Association wasn\u2019t on the same political team as many of its fans, judging from its contributions to leftist advocacy groups.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/2ndvote.com\/nfl-players-union-teamed-soros-planned-parenthood-support-anti-trump-resistance-org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tax documents released<\/a>\u00a0by 2ndVote show the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/nflpa\/\">NFLPA<\/a>\u00a0donated $5,000 in 2015 to the Center for Community Change Action, a group active in the anti-Trump resistance and bankrolled by a host of liberal foundations, including top Democratic donor George Soros\u2019s Foundation for Open Society.<\/p>\n<p>A member of the AFL-CIO, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/nflpa\/\">NFLPA<\/a>\u00a0also contributed in 2013 and 2015 to Working America, the AFL-CIO\u2019s community affiliate, which Open Secrets said spent $1 million in 2016 to defeat Mr. Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Working America has since mobilized against the Republican tax-cut framework, denouncing it as the \u201cTrump tax scam.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/nflpa\/\">NFLPA<\/a>\u00a0contributed $5,000 in 2014 to Jobs with Justice, another pro-union group backed by Mr. Soros, and $5,000 in 2013 to the progressive Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/nflpa\/\">NFLPA<\/a>\u00a0donations from 2013, 2014 and 2015 were made before Mr. Trump was elected.<\/p>\n<p>Other\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/nflpa\/\">NFLPA<\/a>\u00a0charitable contributions went to a mix of groups supporting veterans, medical research and youth, including the Wounded Warrior Project, the Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins, Active Minds, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington.<\/p>\n<p>The Center for Community Change, whose 2015 annual report lists Planned Parenthood as a donor, plans to honor Democratic mega-donor Tom Steyer at its Oct. 12 awards dinner recognizing \u201cheroes on the front lines of resistance.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We will honor <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TomSteyer?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@TomSteyer<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NextGenAmerica?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@NextGenAmerica<\/a> at our <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ChangeChampions?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#ChangeChampions<\/a> awards on Oct. 12!<\/p>\n<p>Join us for the celebration: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/qk2PmANN4V\">https:\/\/t.co\/qk2PmANN4V<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2hJ8y6f8ps\">pic.twitter.com\/2hJ8y6f8ps<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Community Change (@communitychange) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/communitychange\/status\/915718216898539520?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 4, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The CCCA has also received millions from the W.K.
