{"id":83809,"date":"2017-09-14T21:18:53","date_gmt":"2017-09-15T01:18:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=83809"},"modified":"2017-09-14T21:18:53","modified_gmt":"2017-09-15T01:18:53","slug":"new-clinton-email-release-clearly-exposes-pay-to-play-pattern-between-state-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=83809","title":{"rendered":"New Clinton Email Release Clearly Exposes Pay-to-Play Pattern Between State &#038; Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>MORE HILLARY EMAILS REVEALED, ADDITIONAL &#8216;PAY-TO-PLAY&#8217; EVIDENCE<\/h1>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>Judicial Watch posts 1,617 pages showing classified info routinely mishandled<\/h2>\n<p>Bob Unruh<br \/>\nWND.com<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/hillary_laughs_at_you.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-83810\" src=\"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/hillary_laughs_at_you.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"596\" height=\"283\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/hillary_laughs_at_you.jpg 596w, https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/hillary_laughs_at_you-300x142.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 596px) 100vw, 596px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Washington watchdog Judicial Watch on Thursday posted another\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.judicialwatch.org\/press-room\/press-releases\/judicial-watch-new-clinton-emails-uncovered-reveal-additional-mishandling-classified-information\/\">1,617 pages of documentation from the State Department,<\/a>\u00a0obtained as part of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, that details additional instances of \u201cpay-to-play\u201d involving the Clinton Foundation when Hillary Clinton was secretary of state.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s also evidence that Clinton\u2019s\u00a0use of unsecured email accounts for classified information, which is against the law and was\u00a0criticized as \u201cextremely careless\u201d by then-FBI\u00a0director James Comey, was adopted as a routine by others in her retinue.<\/p>\n<p>She even used her email to \u201cvent\u201d about not being told that others in a diplomatic meeting would be wearing white shirts, because she felt out of place with her \u201cgreen top.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Judicial Watch reported the documentation reveals many instances\u00a0in which classified information was transmitted through the unsecure private account of Huma Abedin, Clinton\u2019s deputy chief of staff at the time, \u201cas well as many instances of Hillary Clinton donors receiving special favors from the State Department.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe documents included 97 email exchanges with Clinton not previously turned over to the State Department, bringing the known total to date to at least 627 emails that were not part of the 55,000 pages of emails that Clinton turned over, and further contradicting a statement by Clinton that, \u2018as far as she knew,\u2019 all of her government emails had been turned over to department,\u201d Judicial Watch said.<\/p>\n<p><i><b><a href=\"http:\/\/superstore.wnd.com\/products_by_author\/Dinesh-DSouza\">Get Dinesh D\u2019Souza\u2019s \u201cHillary\u2019s America: The Secret History Of The Democratic Party,\u201d \u201cAmerica\u201d Imagine The World Without Her,\u201d \u201cThe Roots of Obama\u2019s Rage\u201d and more at the WND Superstore.<\/a><\/b><\/i><\/p>\n<p>The favors were numerous and significant, the documents reveal:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On July 14, 2009, Gordon Griffin, a XL Keystone lobbyist, sent an email to Clinton Foundation executive Doug Band, asking if Band could get him into a Council on Foreign Relations dinner at which Clinton was speaking. Band forwarded the email to Abedin, saying, \u201cCan u get him in?\u201d Abedin replied: \u201cYes will get him in.\u201d Band was a top aide to President Bill Clinton and co-founder of Teneo. Griffin was a major donor to Hillary Clinton\u2019s Senate and presidential campaigns.<\/li>\n<li>On Sept.\u00a011, 2009, Terrence Duffy, chairman of futures brokerage firm CME Group, a donor to the Clinton Foundation, asked Clinton to arrange \u201cgovernment appointments\u201d for him in Singapore and Hong Kong. Clinton, using her\u00a0HDR22@clintonmail.com\u00a0address, forwarded the request to Abedin, \u201cfyi.\u201d Abedin responded to Duffy\u2019s email, saying she would \u201cfollow up\u201d with Duffy\u2019s secretary, Joyce. Duffy gave $4,600 to Hillary\u2019s 2008 presidential campaign; CME Group paid Hillary $225,000 for a speaking fee and has donated between $5,001 and 10,000 to the Clinton Foundation.<\/li>\n<li>Abedin, using her\u00a0huma@clintonmail.com\u00a0address, later told Joyce, \u201cWould like to get some more information and details so we can try to help.\u201d Further along in the exchange, Joyce responds, \u201cWe would also like some help in arranging meetings with some key govt officials in both locations, such as the Prime Minister of Singapore, and would appreciate any help you may be able to provide.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>On Sept. 29, 2009, Abedin followed up with Duffy, telling him that \u201cwe are happy to assist with any and all meetings\u201d and that she had \u201cdiscussed you and your trip with our assistant secretary of state for east asia and pacific affairs,\u201d suggesting that Duffy write the assistant secretary, Kurt Campbell. Duffy replied, \u201cThank you very much. I did connect with Kurt Campbell today.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>On July 16, 2009, Zachary Schwartz asked Band for help getting visas to travel to Cuba for a film-production crew from Shangri La Entertainment. Band forwarded the request to Abedin, telling her, \u201cPlease call zach asap on this. [Redacted.] Important.\u201d Abedin responded, \u201cI\u2019ll call zach when we land in India.\u201d Abedin concludes with \u201cEnjoy. Cuba is complicated. Am sure you aren\u2019t surprised to hear that.\u201d Schwartz worked for Steve Bing, a mega-donor to the Clintons and owner of Shangri La Entertainment. Bing has reportedly donated $10-25 million to the Clinton Foundation and paid Bill Clinton personally $2.5 million a year to be an adviser to a green construction company Bing owned.<\/li>\n<li>On May 5, 2010, major Clinton Global Initiative member, Clinton Foundation donor and real estate developer Eddie Trump forwarded to \u201cDougie\u201d Band a request for assistance from Russian American Foundation Vice President Rina Kirshner to get the Russian American Foundation involved in a State Department program. Band forwarded the request to Abedin, saying, \u201cCan we get this done\/mtg set.\u201d As Judicial Watch previously reported, the State Department doled out more than $260,000 to the Russian American Foundation for \u201cpublic diplomacy.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Clinton erupted over\u00a0the wardrobe issue in a\u00a0Feb. 10, 2012, email to Abedin with the subject line \u201cI\u2019m venting\u201d:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>So, here I sit in the meeting surrounded by ever (sic)\u00a0other person dressed in a white shirt provided by the Mexicans. Patricia is not wearing the exact style that all others are but her own white shirt. But, since no one ever told me about this, and instead assumed I didn\u2019t need to know, I had no idea about any of this until I just walked into the large meeting in front of the entire press corps and I\u2019m wearing a green top. So, what\u2019s my answer when asked why I think I\u2019m different than all my colleagues and why I\u2019m dissing our hosts? I am sick of people deciding what I should know rather than giving me the info so I can make a decision. This really annoys me and I told Monica [Hanley] I just didn\u2019t understand.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There are multiple citations of classified email ending up on Abedin\u2019s unsecured and private system.<\/p>\n<p>Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said the emails \u201cshow \u2018what happened\u2019 was that Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin obviously violated laws about the handling of classified information and turned the State Department into a pay for play tool for the corrupt Clinton Foundation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe clear and mounting evidence of pay for play and mishandling of classified information warrant a serious criminal investigation by an independent Trump Justice Department.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clinton now is on a book tour promoting her book \u201cWhat Happened\u201d about her massive election collapse in 2016, the second time she failed in a bid for the presidency.<\/p>\n<p>In it, she blames misogyny, Barack Obama, James Comey, Joe Biden, women, voters and many others for her loss.<\/p>\n<p>The email issue was a big scandal during the 2016 election, when Comey announced in July 2016 that the bureau would not refer the case to the Justice Department for prosecution, even though Clinton was found to have been \u201cgrossly negligent\u201d in her handling of classified material.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI insisted \u201cmalicious intent\u201d was necessary to prosecute, but legal analysts have pointed out that the relevant statute doesn\u2019t require intent. Further,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2017\/09\/ex-prosecutor-obama-not-comey-let-hillary-skate\/\">it was disclosed earlier this month that Comey had prepared his statement exonerating Clinton two months before the announcement<\/a>, before even interviewing her or her aides.<\/p>\n<p>The evidence obtained by Judicial Watch notes the many additional instances of classified information that was mishandled:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On March 8, 2009, Clinton sent classified information using her unsecure\u00a0hdr22@clintonmail.com\u00a0account. She forwarded to former senator George Mitchell an email from Tony Blair related to \u201cPalestine.\u201d The email had been sent to her at\u00a0hr15@att.blackberry.net.Clinton responded to Blair, saying she had forwarded the email to Mitchell. A former Senate majority leader, Mitchell was serving as special envoy for Middle East peace.<\/li>\n<li>On June 18, 2009, Abedin sent classified information summarizing a June 18, 2009, \u201cMiddle East Breakfast\u201d meeting between various senators, representatives and State Department officials, at which Deputy Secretary Jack Lew and George Mitchell briefed the congressmen with \u201can update on our discussions with the [Middle East] parties.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>On Aug. 1, 2009, Abedin forwarded classified information from State Department official Richard Verma to her unsecure email account. The email from Senator Russ Feingold was sent to Hillary Clinton regarding her upcoming Africa trip. On Aug. 4, 2009, Assistant Secretary Jeffrey Feltman sent classified information about discussions with Kuwaiti officials to Abedin\u2019s unsecure email account. Feltman noted that the Kuwaitis felt a lunch they had with Obama was \u201cchilly.\u201d The discussions concerned Guantanamo as well as Kuwait\u2019s treatment of detainees.<\/li>\n<li>On Nov. 1, 2009, U.S. Ambassador to the UAE Rick Olson sent classified information to Abedin\u2019s unsecure email account. The email shows that Olsen was traveling with\u00a0Clinton in the Middle East, and Abedin asked him to \u201cwork on a list of everything covered in the mbz [presumably Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi] meeting for Hillary.\u201d Olson asks: \u201cdo you want it on this system (I can sanitize), or on the other system.\u201d She replies: \u201cThis system easier. We are staying without class[ified] computers. Thx.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>On March 22, 2010, Abedin forwarded to her unsecure email account classified information about a telephone conversation between President Obama and Mexican President Felipe Calderon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Judicial Watch said the emails are the 20th production of documents under a court order from May 2015 in its lawsuit against the federal government. The watchdog group sued after the government refused to respond to a FOIA request asking for: \u201cAll emails of official State Department business received or sent by former Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin from January 1, 2009 through February 1, 2013 using a non-\u2018state.gov\u2019 email address.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The documents also show that Clinton\u2019s retinue would even exchange logins and passwords to secure State Department facilities through email, and one of Clinton\u2019s staffers even \u201cleft classified material behind in a Moscow hotel room.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wnd.com\/2017\/09\/judge-orders-probe-of-destruction-of-hillary-emails\/\">WND reported this week<\/a>\u00a0that a judge has ordered the Maryland state bar to investigate claims that evidence was destroyed when the FBI refused to release files related to Clinton\u2019s famous 33,000 deleted emails.<\/p>\n<p>Anne Arundel County Circuit Court Judge Paul F. Harris Jr. said Monday the complaints against Clinton attorneys David E. Kendall, Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson were egregious and the state bar couldn\u2019t dismiss them as frivolous.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint was brought by New York state lawyer Ty Clevenger, who continues to press the FBI to release details of its investigation into Clinton\u2019s handling of classified information through a private email server.<\/p>\n<p>Clinton and her associates were allowed to decide which of her 60,000 emails to surrender to the State Department. About 33,000 being were withheld as \u201cprivate.\u201d The FBI, however, later found thousands of work-related emails that weren\u2019t turned over to the government.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wnd.com\/2017\/08\/new-batch-of-hillary-emails-show-abuse-of-classified-info-donor-favors\/\">WND reported in August the batch of emails released then<\/a>\u00a0revealed Clinton\u2019s own \u201cRussia\u201d connections.
