A colleague of mine recently chastised me for looking at the recent eclipse
\nrather than heed his warning that doing so might bring bad luck to me and
\nthe nation.<\/p>\n

This very intelligent writer and researcher then went on to say that
\nthe eclipse had brought bad luck to America as seen by the devastating
\nfloods in Houston and other parts of Texas.\u00a0Why you should NOT watch Monday\u2019s solar eclipse<\/a><\/p>\n

I responded by saying that I could see at least one positive aspect to
\nthe tragedy: the potential for this event saving Trump’s presidency.
\nI based that conclusion after seeing just one photo of the Commander-
\nIn-Chief kissing a black child while he and Melania were making\u00a0the
\nrounds in that ravaged city.<\/p>\n

Now comes Alex Jones, a relentless if deeply flawed proponent of the
\n“Infowar” who has spent the last 2 decades taking on the Deep State
\nwith his radio show, videos and other programming to combat the
\nGlobalist forces he sees as a threat to our Republic.<\/p>\n

Jones, a huge fan of Trump’s who many believe was a major factor
\nin his upset victory in the 2016 election, has released a powerful video
\ndocumenting exactly what I intimated in my reply to this friend.

Being the long-winded fellow that he is, Jones spends a couple of
\nminutes bracketing the short piece that shows the President rising
\nto the occasion in Texas and literally embracing all the victims of
\nHarvey, young and old, black and white.<\/p>\n

You do NOT have to be a big fan of either Jones or Trump to be moved
\nby this show of compassion. Yes, it is staged to gain maximum sympathy
\nfor the President as well as for those displaced by the floods.<\/p>\n

But it is touching none the less in a way that shows the man as far more
\nhuman that the ugly, racist tyrant the Mainstream Media<\/em> have been
\nclaiming him to be for two years now.<\/p>\n

Will this video save Trump’s presidency and America with it? I do not
\nclaim to know the answer. But my intuition remains relevant: rather than
\nthe total eclipse being an inauspicious tragedy, it contains within it the
\nreal chance it can bring us together and be a healing moment for our
\nwounded country.<\/p>\n

That is my deepest prayer and if means Trump survives, so be it!
\nBy these simple gestures, he has taken a big step in uniting “we the
\npeople” at a time of deep division. I am grateful for this and hope he
\ncan sustain the momentum created in Texas in the months ahead.<\/p>\n
