Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow spoke to journalist Mike Cernovich on Breitbart News Daily this morning discussing the Trump presidency, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump\u2019s influence, and the possibility of President Trump being held under \u201chouse arrest<\/a>.\u201d<\/h2>\nMike Cernovich appeared on Breitbart News Daily today to speak to Breitbart Editor-in-Chief\u00a0Alex Marlow about issues surrounding the Trump Presidency. Cernovich has a running series of posts called \u201d Dispatches from Trumpland\u201d that were at the center of their discussion. \u201cThere\u2019s some pretty explosive stuff in your report,\u201d said Alex Marlow referencing Cernovich\u2019s recent\u00a0Trump Dispatches<\/a>, \u201cand so I just wanted to unpack some of it with you, the first place where it starts in your dispatch is that Trump is on house arrest and you cite John Bolton who people thought was under consideration for National Security Advisor, for Secretary of State who can\u2019t even have access to the President right now and this is a pretty big departure from campaign trail Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cExactly, so I\u2019d heard from people that Trump is on house arrest,\u201d replied Mike Cernovich, \u201cI thought \u2018oh c\u2019mon, the President of the United States, that\u2019s the weirdest thing I\u2019ve ever heard\u2019, but I kept digging into it and I kept hearing the same thing over and over again and then, of course, John Bolton wrote his column for National Review and he\u2019s begging people to retweet it, he said \u2018this is the only way the President is gonna see it,\u2019 and I\u2019ll say Alex, I don\u2019t really understand, how can Trump not see who he wants to see? This is something I don\u2019t really fully comprehend within the White House. I have talked to a lot of people, it\u2019s a very weird situation.\u201d<\/p>\n
Marlow agreed, \u201cit is a very weird situation, and this is something that I\u2019m afraid is systemic of something that\u2019s happening inside, people that listen to the show know that I\u2019m not a huge \u2018Javanka\u2019 fan,\u201d referencing Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, \u201cand I\u2019m just seeing the numbers here Mike and the people inside the White House, you\u2019ve got Kushner, you\u2019ve got Ivanka Trump, Gary Cohn, Dinah Powell, H.R. McMaster, who I know you were really the first person to call him out as a big threat to the MAGA agenda. And it\u2019s just overwhelming and now with no Bannon and with no Gorka, just where is the President getting information that can tie him, connect him to his own base?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI heard [John] Kelly had taken his [Trump\u2019s] phone, so he wouldn\u2019t be getting messages on his phone which again I thought was a weird story when people were telling me that I said, \u2018come on, get out of here you can\u2019t take the President\u2019s phone this is incomprehensible\u2019 but again that Bolton thing confirmed it and I\u2019m not a big John Bolton fan personally, I don\u2019t have anything against him but I found it amazing that he was, again, begging for retweets saying \u2018the only way the President is gonna see my article is maybe if it goes viral,\u2019 because it has to get past General Kelly, that shows\u00a0there is some kind of coup going on there.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cCoup is a strong word,\u201d said Marlow, \u201cbut it\u2019s very hard to argue against it at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n
Marlow then mentioned his fears about Trump\u2019s distance from his voting base and his refusal to appear on talk radio. Marlow stated that he worries that Trump doesn\u2019t\u00a0talk to people that understand or remember what the base voted for when they cast their ballot for Trump in November. Cernovich commented on Trump\u2019s interview with Maggie Habermann for the\u00a0New York Times<\/em>\u00a0but his failure to talk to the likes of Breitbart News, the Daily Caller or calling into the likes of Rush Limbaugh and other talk radio hosts.<\/p>\nLater in the interiew, Marlow asked, \u201cMike give us your thoughts on the threat to the America First Agenda coming from the media.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYeah, the media is running public relations for the left,\u201d stated Cernovich, pointing out that donations to the DNC are down considerably. He continued to describe that this showed that people have lost support within the DNC and that many no longer trust the media.<\/p>\n
Marlow then went on to question Cernovich about his claims that White House staffer Ben Rhodes was essentially running the National Security Council. Cernovich replied with a claim that Rhodes was colluding H.R. McMaster to leak sensitive information from within the White House. According to Cernovich, \u201cBen Rhodes\u2019 people leak all the information out to Rhodes and his intermediaries, McMaster looks the other way and that\u2019s part of the coup.\u201d<\/p>\n
Marlow and Cernovich also discussed the \u201cTrump Tax\u201d, which was mentioned in the\u00a0first part of Cernovich\u2019s dispatches<\/a>, which refers to the price that people pay for supporting Trump both privately and in the media. A source told Cernovich,\u00a0 \u201cAfter what they did to Thiel, who is willing to pay the Trump tax?\u201d<\/p>\n
