(Washington, DC)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Judicial Watch today released\u00a0448 pages<\/a>\u00a0of documents from the U.S. Department of State revealing new incidents of Huma Abedin, deputy chief of staff to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, providing special State Department treatment to major donors to the Clinton Foundation and political campaigns.<\/p>\n The heavily redacted documents from Abedin\u2019s non-government account include an email from Hillary Clinton\u2019s brother, Tony Rodham, to Abedin revealing that he acted as a go-between for a Clinton Foundation donor, Richard Park. And they reveal Clinton Foundation executive Doug Band instructing Abedin to \u201cshow love\u201d to Clinton donor Andrew Liveris.<\/p>\n The documents included\u00a0six<\/a>\u00a0Clinton email exchanges\u00a0not previously turned over to the State Department, bringing the\u00a0known total\u00a0to date to at least\u00a0439<\/a>\u00a0emails that were not part of the 55,000 pages of emails that Clinton turned over to the State Department, and further contradicting a statement by Clinton that, \u201cas far as she knew<\/a>,\u201d all of her government emails had been turned over to the State Department.<\/p>\n The documents are in response to a\u00a0court order<\/a>\u00a0from a May 5, 2015,\u00a0lawsuit<\/a>\u00a0filed against the State Department (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. U.S. Department of State<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(No.\u00a01:15-cv-00684)) for: \u201cAll emails of official State Department business received or sent by former Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin from January 1, 2009 through February 1, 2013 using a non-\u2018state.gov\u2019 email address.\u201d<\/p>\n A number of emails show the free flow of information and requests for favors between Clinton\u2019s State Department and the Clinton Foundation.<\/p>\n In\u00a0July 2009<\/a>, in reference to the US-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue, Clinton Global Initiative head Doug Band told Abedin that she \u201cNeed[s] to show love\u201d to Andrew Liveris, the CEO of Dow Chemical.<\/u>\u00a0Band also asked for Liveris to be introduced to Hillary, \u201cand\u00a0have her mention<\/a>\u00a0both me and wjc\u201d.\u00a0 Dow gave between\u00a0\u00a0$1 million and $5 million<\/a>\u00a0to the Clinton Foundation and Clinton Global Initiative.\u00a0 Band also pushes for Clinton to do a favor for\u00a0Karlheinz Koegel<\/a>, a major Clinton Foundation contributor, who wanted Hillary Clinton to give the \u201chonor speech\u201d for his media prize to \u201cMerkel.\u201d<\/p>\n The emails reveal that on\u00a0June 19, 2009<\/a>, Clinton\u2019s brother, Tony Rodham, passed a long a letter for Hillary Clinton for Clinton donor Richard Park.\u00a0 Park donated $100,000 to Bill Clinton as far back as 1993 and is listed by the Clinton Foundation as a $100,000 to $250,000 donor.<\/p>\n The\u00a0Washington Examiner\u00a0<\/em>reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n In March 2012, Bill Clinton received an invitation to speak at the Kaesong Industrial Complex in North Korea\u2026. Richard Park\u2019s friendship with Tony Rodham earned him a direct line to Hillary Clinton while she served as secretary of state. In January 2013, the Korean businessman sent Rodham an email and asked him to \u201cforward this to your sister.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n On\u00a0November 14, 2009<\/a>, Clinton donor Ben Ringel, who has appeared in numerous\u00a0prior emails<\/a>\u00a0asking for favors, emailed Abedin to get help in getting an Iranian woman a visa to come to the United States. He writes: \u201cWe need to get her clearance even only temporary to be with her granddaughter.\u201d Abedin forwarded the request to Lauren Jiloty, asking her \u201cCan U help Monday with consular affairs?\u201d Jiloty replies, \u201cSure. Will look into it.\u201d\u00a0 Ringel donated between\u00a0$10,000 and $25,000<\/a>\u00a0to the Clinton Foundation.\u00a0 In May, Band, working through Abedin, attempts to help Canadian concert promoter and\u00a0Foundation<\/a>\u00a0donor\u00a0Michael Cohl<\/a>\u00a0with the\u00a0processing of a visa<\/a>. Abedin passes the request to\u00a0Monica Hanley<\/a>, Clinton\u2019s \u201cconfidential assistant.\u201d<\/p>\n The emails show that the Clinton Foundation operative Band was involved in personnel matters at the Clinton State Department.\u00a0 In a May 2009 email exchange between Band and Abedin, a \u201ccareer post<\/a>\u201d<\/u>\u00a0to East Timor for someone is discussed. Abedin explains to Band that Cheryl Mills, Hillary Clinton\u2019s then-chief of staff, was working on the situation \u201cunder the radar.\u201d<\/p>\n In August 2009, Band tells Abedin of someone who wants to be the ambassador to\u00a0Barbados<\/a>. Abedin replies: \u201cI know, he\u2019s emailed a few times. But she wants to give to someone else.\u201d<\/p>\n The emails also show that Abedin received advice from her mother, Saleha Abedin (a\u00a0controversial<\/a>\u00a0Islamist<\/a>\u00a0activist<\/a>), on whom the Obama administration should appoint as the US Envoy to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.\u00a0\u00a0 She notes that she has obtained a recommendation from \u201cHassan\u201d (NFI), and that she\u2019d reached out to \u201cIshanoglu\u201d. This is presumably Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, a Turkish academic and the former Secretary-General of the OIC. Ihsanoglu famously called on the West\u00a0to enact anti-Islamic blasphemy laws<\/a>.<\/p>\n On Monday,\u00a0June 8<\/a>, Clinton emails her aide Lona Valmoro and Abedin asking to attend a cabinet meeting: \u201cI heard on the radio that there is a Cabinet mtg this am. Is there? Can I go? If not, who are you sending?\u201d Valmoro answers: \u201cIt is actually not a full cabinet meeting today \u2013 those agencies that received recovery money were invited to attend\/participate. We were welcome to send a representative though, not sure if we have anyone going.\u201d<\/p>\n Other emails found in Abedin\u2019s unsecure email account appear to show additional instances of the Clinton State Department\u2019s lax approach to protecting national security.<\/p>\n On\u00a0July 4, 2009<\/a>, U.S. Ambassador to Kenya Jonathan \u201cScott\u201d Gration sent Abedin an email that the State Department has classified in part and redacted because the information deals with \u201cforeign governments\u201d and \u201cnational defense or foreign policy.\u201d Abedin forwarded Gration\u2019s email to her personal, unsecure email account.\u00a0 In his email, Gration related his meeting with Libyan president\u00a0Muammar Qadafi<\/a>, saying: \u201cI conveyed our appreciation for Libya\u2019s role to improve relations between Chad and Sudan \u2026 Leader al-Qadafi promised to continue his nation\u2019s close collaboration with the United States \u2026 and is eager to meet you and President Obama.\u2026\u201d Gration would\u00a0later be fired<\/a>\u00a0for, among other things, using personal email accounts to send government information.<\/p>\n A document titled \u201cHRC PRIVATE LINE BLOCK<\/a>\u201d gives the planned whereabouts for President Obama for Thursday, June 4, 2009: \u201cAttend POTUS Foreign Policy Speech at Cairo University.\u201d In another example of\u00a0lax concern<\/a>\u00a0for security, Valmoro forwarded Clinton\u2019s detailed daily schedule for July 15, 2009, to officers of the Clinton Foundation, including Doug Band and Justin Cooper. Again, on\u00a0July 26<\/a>\u00a0Valmoro forwarded Hillary\u2019s detailed, sensitive daily schedule to numerous Clinton Foundation officials.<\/p>\n In other examples of lax concern for security, on June 11, there is a reference to testing the \u201cFederal preparedness and response for an international terrorist threat to the United States. [Principal-Level Exercise] will be a scenario-driven discussion for Cabinet Secretaries, agency Directors and Administrators, senior officials in the Executive Office of the President, or their approved representatives.\u201d A document in Abedin\u2019s unsecure email account dated\u00a0May 2009<\/a>\u00a0is titled \u201cThe Secretary\u2019s Phone Call with Chinese Foreign Minister Yang\u201d is marked\u00a0sensitive but unclassified<\/a>\u00a0and fully redacted, as is a document titled \u201cThe Secretary\u2019s Phone Call with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not sure how much more evidence of pay for play, classified information mishandling, and influence peddling from Clinton\u2019s email server one would need to show a serious criminal investigation is required,\u201d said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.<\/p>\n ###<\/p>\n
