{"id":76432,"date":"2017-06-28T16:17:39","date_gmt":"2017-06-28T20:17:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=76432"},"modified":"2017-06-28T16:27:21","modified_gmt":"2017-06-28T20:27:21","slug":"76432","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=76432","title":{"rendered":"Will Obama also be subjected to a special counsel?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Jay Sekulow: \u2018Why Don\u2019t We Have a Special Counsel Reviewing\u2026President Obama?\u2019<\/h2>\n<p><!--more-->by Joe DePaolo<br \/>\nMediaite<\/p>\n<article>\n<div id=\"post-wrap\">\n<div id=\"post-body\">\n<div id=\"jwv-placeholder\">\n<div id=\"jwv\">\n<div class=\"jwvideo\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/content.jwplatform.com\/players\/UY4Ngb04-zffGtjRq.html\" width=\"100%\" height=\"100%\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"auto\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Jay Sekulow<\/strong>, a lawyer for President\u00a0<strong>Donald Trump<\/strong>, was back at Fox News Wednesday to rail against what he calls \u201cthe so-called Russian probe.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<p>Appearing on\u00a0<em>America\u2019s Newsroom<\/em>, the attorney pointed the finger at Trump\u2019s predecessor, former President\u00a0<strong>Barack Obama<\/strong>, and questioned why his administration\u2019s actions with regard to Russian election interference aren\u2019t being scrutinized more thoroughly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy do we have a special counsel dealing with the Russia hacking when they had that evidence and did nothing?\u201d Sekulow said. \u201cWhy don\u2019t we have a special counsel reviewing why President Obama did nothing after he assured the American people \u2014 he gets intelligence briefings but assures the American people that Russia did not interfere with the election.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for the allegations against his client, Sekulow maintains that there is no\u00a0<em>there<\/em>\u00a0there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"qualified qualified-1\">\u201cYou know when the president said early on this was a witch hunt?\u201d Sekulow said. \u201cEvery day that goes by, I\u2019m not sure that\u2019s fair to witch hunts to keep calling it that.
