Rep. Chris Collins After Scalise Shooting: I\u2019ll Be Carrying Concealed at Next Game<\/h1>\n

Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY-27) reacted to the shooting at a congressional baseball practice by pledging that he will carry concealed for self-defense the next time.<\/h2>\n

Breitbart News reported<\/a> that\u00a0Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and four others were shot and wounded. The shooting suspect, 66-year-old\u00a0James T. Hodgkinson, was killed by police.<\/p>\n

During an interview after the attack, Rep. Collins told WKBW<\/a> he will carry concealed at the next baseball event. He said,\u00a0\u201cIf you look at the vulnerability, I assure you: I have a carry permit. I will be carrying when I\u2019m out and about.\u201d<\/p>\n

Collins admitted he has not been carrying regularly but made clear this\u00a0will change.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cOn a rare occasion, I\u2019d have my gun in a glove box or something, but it\u2019s going to be in my pocket from this day forward\u201d:<\/p>\n
