GLYPHOSATE HEARING<\/strong>\u2013 \u00a0Many thanks to the amazing team of the California Guild, Moms Across America and everyone who showed at the California EPA meeting on June 7.\u00a0 As a short recap, they rocked the house with science, persuasive talking points and a whole lot of love. Thanks for your ongoing work for all of us!\u00a0\u00a0It got great news coverage. \u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Ask for zero<\/h1>\n

You have until\u00a0June 21\u00a0to comment to the state of California<\/strong> on what levels are \u201csafe\u201d before having to label.\u00a0 We\u2019re asking for zero.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>http:\/\/oehha.ca.gov\/proposition-65\/comments\/proposed-specific-regulatory-level-chemical-causing-cancer-glyphosate<\/a><\/p>\n

And\u2026GREAT NEWS!! We have an opportunity for another meeting with the government next week!<\/p>\n

USDA MEETING IN DAVIS,\u00a0<\/strong>JUNE 13<\/strong><\/p>\n

The USDA \u201cAPHIS\u201d division will be in Davis to receive comments from folks about new policy and regulations with GMOs.\u00a0 Please come and make comment if you can.\u00a0 These dockets are vital.<\/strong> They are equally important to the future of our food as the FDA ruling on \u201csubstantial equivalence\u201d was in 1992.<\/p>\n

Our kids and grandkids and their grandkids will be dealing with this long after we are gone.<\/p>\n

Basically things are even messier with genetic engineering than they were in 2012.\u00a0 The new technologies are NOT regulated by the government.\u00a0<\/strong> Biotech and poison companies want it to stay that way. If it does, then you\u2019ll be eating genetically engineered plants, animals and who knows what else concoctions made in a lab and they won\u2019t have to be labeled. What\u2019s even more alarming? They won\u2019t have to go through any kind of deregulation process so NO ONE will know where they are!\u00a0\u00a0 To find out more about the new technologies go\u00a0here.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

The meeting is at the University of California,\u00a0Davis Conference Center,\u00a0Davis, California.\u00a0 Hours- from\u00a09AM to noon, with check in starting at\u00a08:30AM<\/p>\n

There is a place in the registration for you to indicate if you want to comment there or online to USDA.\u00a0 The meeting we went to last year only had about 12 of 50+ commenters opposing the usual \u201ctotally safe, no regulations needed\u201d talking points.\u00a0 Please come if you can.<\/p>\n
