{"id":74541,"date":"2017-06-08T12:30:35","date_gmt":"2017-06-08T16:30:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=74541"},"modified":"2017-06-08T12:30:35","modified_gmt":"2017-06-08T16:30:35","slug":"comey-trashes-ag-loretta-lynchs-conduct","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=74541","title":{"rendered":"Comey Trashes AG Loretta Lynch&#8217;s Conduct"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 class=\"title\">Comey Testifies AG Lynch &#8216;Pressured&#8217; Him To Use Clinton Campaign Language; &#8220;It Gave Me A Queasy Feeling&#8221;<\/h1>\n<p><!--more-->ZeroHedge.com<\/p>\n<p>In perhaps the most stunning section of former FBI Director Comey&#8217;s testimony today, he detailed his interaction with then Attorney General Loretta Lynch about his specific language about the Clinton Email &#8220;investigation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/user3303\/imageroot\/2017\/06\/07\/20170608_lynch.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/user3303\/imageroot\/2017\/06\/07\/20170608_lynch.jpg\" width=\"538\" height=\"367\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the first time, former FBI Director James Comey, who is testifying today before the Senate Intelligence Committee, said that <strong>President Obama&#8217;s Attorney General Loretta Lynch asked him to downplay the Hillary Clinton&#8217;s email scandal&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>*COMEY: CONCERNED WITH AG DIRECTIVE ON CLINTON `MATTER&#8217;<\/li>\n<li><strong>*COMEY: LYNCH&#8217;S LANGUAGE `TRACKED&#8217; CLINTON CAMPAIGN&#8217;S<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>*COMEY: GAVE IMPRESSION LYNCH WAS LOOKING TO ALIGN W\/CAMPAIGN<\/li>\n<li><strong>*COMEY SAYS HE HAD `QUEASY FEELING&#8217; AFTER LYNCH INTERACTION<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2017\/06\/08\/loretta-lynch-pressured-fbi-to-downplay-clinton-email-investigation-comey-says\/?utm_source=site-share\">As DailyCaller notes,<\/a> Comey said Lynch instructed Comey not to call the criminal investigation into the Clinton server a criminal investigation. Instead, <strong>Lynch told Comey to call it a \u201cmatter,\u201d Comey said, \u201cwhich confused me.\u201d<\/strong> Comey cited that pressure from Lynch to downplay the investigation as one of the reasons he held a press conference to recommend the Department of Justice not seek to indict Clinton.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"quote_start\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"quote_end\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>\u201cProbably the only other consideration that I guess I can talk about in an open setting is that at one point, the attorney general had directed me not to call it an investigation, but instead to call it a matter, which confused me and concerned me,\u201d he said when asked about the email investigation.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So who was obstructing or trying to interfere there?<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"quote_start\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"quote_end\"><\/div>\n<p>Comey said that this troubled him greatly and convinced him,<strong> \u201cI have to step away from the department if we\u2019re too close this case credibly.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Still, we note that despite his admission that the <strong>conversation &#8220;gave me a queasy feeling,&#8221;<\/strong> Comey went ahead and <strong>followed her orders because &#8220;that was not a hill i wanted to die on&#8230;&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"max-width-video-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" id=\"fitvid481181\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eUOy92IAnNo\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Under questioning by panel chairman Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), Comey said that <strong>he was uncomfortable with the unexpected meeting Lynch had with former President Bill Clinton on an airport tarmac last year<\/strong>.
