Oil industry consultant and former Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page\u00a0believes that concerted efforts by Obama administration-affiliated \u201cDeep State\u201d officials to expose President Donald Trump\u2019s alleged and entirely unproven collusion<\/a> with the Russians will come back to bite them.<\/p>\n Specifically, he believes their actions will in due time ultimately \u201cexpose the Obama administration\u2019s use of false evidence to obtain a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court warrant to monitor his<\/em> personal communications,\u201d according to Breitbart<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a report published last month,\u00a0The Washington Post<\/a> revealed that the FBI \u201cobtained a secret court order last summer to monitor the communications of\u201d Page. This revelation was based on leaks, ironically enough.<\/p>\n \u201cThe FBI and the Justice Department obtained the warrant targeting Carter Page\u2019s communications after convincing a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court judge that there was probable cause to believe Page was acting as an agent of a foreign power, in this case Russia,\u201d the Post reported.<\/p>\n Attempts to uncover the precise evidence the Obama administration used to argue that Page deserved a FISA warrant have been unsuccessful, with the U.S. government reportedly refusing to respond to a Freedom of Information Act request filed by the American Civil Liberties Union.<\/p>\n The former Trump adviser has himself\u00a0\u201cappealed for public disclosure of the justification for what he refers to as the \u2018illegitimate\u2019 FISA warrant,\u201d according to Breitbart, but to no avail.<\/p>\n It\u2019s his belief that the Obama administration\u2019s motivations for pursuing a FISA warrant against him were illegitimate. He\u2019s also confident that information about this warrant was purposefully leaked to the media \u201cin order to stir up more unwarranted fear\u201d about Russian collusion, he told Breitbart.<\/p>\n He has since reportedly submitted a letter to the House Select Committee on Intelligence outlining these concerns.<\/p>\n Page appeared confident that special counsel<\/a> Robert Mueller III\u2019s investigation into alleged Russian collusion could very well wind up not exposing any alleged wrongdoing by either him or Trump \u2014 but rather by former President Barack Hussein Obama and his officials.<\/p>\n Incidentally, the president himself seems to share this same belief.\u00a0On Wednesday morning he issued several tweets blasting Democrat legislators for reportedly deciding not to bring Page in to testify on allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 election. \u00a0Take a look:<\/p>\n So now it is reported that the Democrats, who have excoriated Carter Page about Russia, don't want him to testify.
