Conservatives are extremely suspicious about ABC\u2019s decision to cancel the highly-rated sitcom \u201cLast Man Standing,\u201d and more than a few people think the choice was made for political reasons. The comedy has thrived on the network; despite being slotted into a very-difficult-to-succeed Friday night time period, the Tim Allen sitcom has grown to become ABC\u2019s second-highest rated comedy next to \u201cModern Family.\u201d So why, many are asking, would the network pull the plug?<\/p>\n
Well, the show just happens to be about a man who is outspoken in his conservative views \u2013 a man who just happens to be played by a conservative actor. And while Tim Allen\u2019s political beliefs didn\u2019t worry ABC back in the \u201cHome Improvement\u201d days, the scuttlebutt around Hollywood is that in the Age of Trump, Allen\u2019s conservative ideology was not something the network \u2013 or its parents company, Disney \u2013 wanted to promote.<\/p>\n
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker wasn\u2019t shy about jumping into the fray. After the announcement was made, Walker said on Twitter: \u201cLooks like ABC is playing politics with your show despite decent ratings. Sad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fox News quoted several irritated fans of the show, who went to social media with their complaints:<\/p>\n

\u201cYou gotta be real careful around here,\u201d Allen said. \u201cYou get beat up if you don\u2019t believe what everybody else believes. This is like \u201930s Germany.\u201d<\/p>\n
Perhaps ABC, which, like the rest of Hollywood, is filled with liberals and Jewish producers, decided that comment was enough for them to pull the plug.<\/p>\n
And, of course by doing so, proving Allen right.<\/p>\n
