By Ian Miles Cheong<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n The Antifa group \u2014 known as the Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action, Integration & Immigrant Rights, and Fight for Equality By Any Means Necessary (BAMN) \u2014 has been linked to anti-Republican violence that rocked Berkeley several times this year (\u201cBy Any Means Necessary\u201d is Sartre quote that was famously invoked by Malcolm X in\u00a0a call for\u00a0racial violence). BAMN\u2019s\u00a0efforts led to the riots at UC Berkeley<\/a> against the alt-right\u00a0provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos. Earlier this month, BAMN\u2019s plans to disrupt conservative writer Ann Coulter\u2019s speech at UC Berkeley caused its cancellation over safety concerns.<\/strong><\/p>\n As Heat Street previously detailed<\/a>, BAMN was founded in 1995 as a \u201cfront group\u201d for a Detroit-based communist party called the Revolutionary Workers League\u2014an organization deemed radical even by UC Berkeley standards. Many of BAMN\u2019s leading members have also been members of RWL.<\/p>\n Internal NAMBLA publications provided to The Daily Caller<\/em>\u00a0describe the RWL as being \u201csupportive of gay rights in general and NAMBLA in particular.\u201d In addition to organizational details, the NAMBLA publications\u00a0contained erotic stories about underage boys. A separate NAMBLA bulletin described the RWL as a \u201cNAMBLA ally.\u201d<\/p>\n Per the investigation by the The Daily Caller<\/em>, BAMN founder and co-chair Shanta Driver has had\u00a0open affiliations to RWL since 1983, according to a communist publication called the Workers Vanguard. Driver also identified herself<\/a> as an RWL member in the LA Times in 1995 during a Berkeley protest.<\/p>\n Driver\u2019s former law partner, Eileen Scheff, who represented BAMN at the Supreme Court<\/a>, has been a self-described member of NAMBLA and is identified within a 1992 NAMBLA bulletin as an RWL member. At a 1991 press conference, Scheff spoke out against the \u201cwitch-hunt\u201d of pedophiles.<\/p>\n \u201cAs an activist in the legal and political struggle for lesbian\/gay rights and for freedom of sexual expression, I am here to support NAMBLA and to demand that the witch-hunt against it must be stopped,\u201d said Scheff. \u201cThe media and police are targeting NAMBLA because it stands for the rights of young people to have consensual sex with whomever they want.\u201d<\/p>\n Scheff called for the creation of \u201cyouth-controlled centers\u201d where children could freely have sex.<\/p>\n As a pro-pedophile organization, NAMBLA proposes eliminating age of consent laws, providing children the ability to divorce their parents, and the end of age-based curfews. <\/i>This [past] weekend, new documents\u00a0surfaced by\u00a0the Daily Caller<\/a>\u00a0allege deep ties between BAMN and the North American Man\/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA). According to the documents, BAMN\u2019s parent organization worked directly with NAMBLA prior to founding BAMN. Additionally, one of BAMN\u2019s founders is an admitted member of the pro-pedophile activist group and described society\u2019s disdain for pedophiles as a \u201cwitch-hunt.\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n
