The Russian Black Sea Fleet\u2019s frigate The Admiral Grigorovich, currently on a routine voyage, would enter the Mediterranean later on Friday, a military-diplomatic source in Moscow told TASS, adding that the ship would make a stop at the logistics base in Syria\u2019s port of Tartus.<\/p>\n<p>Russia wasted no time, and as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/2017\/04\/07\/russian-warship-steams-toward-us-destroyers-that-launched-syria-strikes.html\">FN reports<\/a>, moments ago, the Russian frigate, Admiral Grigorovich RFS-494, crossed through the Bosphorus Strait \u201ca few hours ago\u201d from the Black Sea, according to a U.S. defense official.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING:Russia Admiral Grigorovich-class frigate armed w\/ cruise missiles about to enter the Mediterranean heading to naval base in Tartus <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/LTU5fGjMy5\">pic.twitter.com\/LTU5fGjMy5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Maxim A. The Admiral Grigorovich is armed with advanced Kalibr cruise missiles.<\/p>\n<p>According to the official version, the frigate was bound for the Syrian port of Tartus on a routine voyage, the Russian news agency TASS reported Friday, citing a military-diplomatic source.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Russian ship armed with cruise missiles Kalibr will visit the logistics base in Tartus, Syria,&#8221; the source said, according to TASS. The ship was currently near the Black Sea straits, Tass reported.
