{"id":70514,"date":"2017-04-04T10:19:06","date_gmt":"2017-04-04T14:19:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=70514"},"modified":"2017-04-04T10:24:31","modified_gmt":"2017-04-04T14:24:31","slug":"former-us-attorney-susan-rice-ordered-spy-agencies-to-produce-detailed-spreadsheets-involving-trump-photo-of-richard-pollock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateofthenation2012.com\/?p=70514","title":{"rendered":"Former US Attorney: Susan Rice Ordered Spy Agencies To Produce \u2018Detailed Spreadsheets\u2019 Involving Trump Photo of Richard Pollock"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->RICHARD POLLOCK<br \/>\nThe Daily Caller<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/players.brightcove.net\/5107476400001\/B1xUkhW8i_default\/index.html?videoId=5384665237001\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Former President Barack Obama\u2019s national security adviser Susan Rice ordered U.S.\u00a0spy agencies to produce \u201cdetailed spreadsheets\u201d of legal phone calls\u00a0involving Donald Trump\u00a0and his aides when he was running for president, according to former U.S. Attorney Joseph diGenova.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat was produced by the intelligence community at the request of Ms. Rice were detailed spreadsheets of intercepted phone calls with unmasked Trump associates in perfectly legal conversations with individuals,\u201d diGenova told The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe overheard conversations involved no illegal activity by anybody of the Trump associates, or anyone they were speaking with,\u201d diGenova said. \u201cIn short, the only apparent illegal activity was the unmasking of the people in the calls.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other official sources with direct knowledge and who requested anonymity confirmed to TheDCNF diGenova\u2019s description of surveillance reports Rice ordered one year before the 2016 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>Also on Monday, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2017\/04\/03\/susan-rice-requested-to-unmask-names-trump-transition-officials-sources-say.html\" target=\"_blank\">Fox News<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/view\/articles\/2017-04-03\/top-obama-adviser-sought-names-of-trump-associates-in-intel\" target=\"_blank\">Bloomberg News<\/a>, citing multiple sources reported that Rice had requested the intelligence information that was produced in a highly organized operation. Fox said the unmasked names of Trump aides were given to officials at the National Security Council (NSC), the Department of Defense, James Clapper, President Obama\u2019s Director of National Intelligence, and John Brennan, Obama\u2019s CIA Director.<\/p>\n<p>Joining Rice in the alleged White House operations was her deputy Ben Rhodes, according to Fox.<\/p>\n<p>Critics of the atmosphere prevailing throughout the Obama administration\u2019s last year in office point to former Obama Deputy Defense Secretary Evelyn Farkas who admitted in a March 2 television <a href=\"http:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2017\/03\/30\/exclusive-ex-obama-official-responds-to-allegations-she-spread-trump-intel-video\/\" target=\"_blank\">interview<\/a> on MSNBC that she \u201cwas urging my former colleagues,\u201d to \u201cget as much information as you can, get as much intelligence as you can, before President Obama leaves the administration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Farkas sought to walk back her comments in the weeks following: \u201cI didn\u2019t give anybody anything except advice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Col. (Ret.) James Waurishuk, an NSC veteran and former deputy director for intelligence at the U.S. Central Command, told TheDCNF that many hands had to be involved throughout the Obama administration to launch such a political spying program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe surveillance initially is the responsibility of the National Security Agency,\u201d Waurishuk said. \u201cThey have to abide by this guidance when one of the other agencies says, \u2018we\u2019re looking at this particular person which we would like to unmask.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe lawyers and counsel at the NSA surely would be talking to the lawyers and members of counsel at CIA, or at the National Security Council or at the Director of National Intelligence or at the FBI,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s unbelievable of the level and degree of the administration to look for information on Donald Trump and his associates, his campaign team and his transition team. This is really, really serious stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Michael Doran, former NSC senior director, told TheDCNF Monday that \u201csomebody blew a hole in the wall between national security secrets and partisan politics.\u201d This\u00a0\u201cwas a stream of information that was supposed to be hermetically sealed from politics and the Obama administration found a way to blow a hole in that wall,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Doran charged that potential serious crimes were undertaken because \u201cthis is a leaking of signal intelligence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s a felony,\u201d he told TheDCNF. \u201cAnd you can get 10 years for that.\u00a0It is a tremendous abuse of the system. We\u2019re not supposed to be monitoring American citizens. Bigger than the crime, is the breach of public trust.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Waurishuk said he was most dismayed that \u201cthis is now using national intelligence assets and capabilities to spy on the elected, yet-to-be-seated president.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re looking at a potential constitutional crisis from the standpoint that we used an extremely strong capability that\u2019s supposed to be used to safeguard and protect the country,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd we used it for political purposes by a sitting president.
