A former National Security Agency employee claimed in a shocking interview Friday night the NSA likely did spy on President Donald Trump\u2019s phone calls and emails, as well as those belonging to justices on the Supreme Court, members of Congress, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.<\/p>\n
In an appearance on Fox News Channel\u2019s \u201cTucker Carlson Tonight,\u201d hosted by longtime journalist Tucker Carlson, former NSA employee Bill Binney revealed he believes the NSA likely did spy on Trump and may even be spying on him now.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs I just said in my intro, you spent 30 years there,\u201d Carlson said to Binney. \u201cYou\u2019re not someone whose just speculating. You believe it\u2019s entirely possible that the president was, in fact, spied on?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYes,\u201d Binney replied. \u201cIn fact, they\u2019re taking in fundamentally the entire fiber network inside the United States and collecting all that data and storing it, in a program, they call it, it\u2019s Stellar Wind is the name for their program. That\u2019s the domestic collection of data on U.S. citizens. \u2026 everything we\u2019re doing: phone calls, emails, and then financial transactions, credit cards, things like that\u2014all of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
In addition to the massive amount of data collected on all people, Binney, who served 36 years at the NSA, says another NSA whistleblower has said there is a program within the NSA designed specifically to spy on law-abiding officials serving at the highest levels of government.<\/p>\n
\u201cInside NSA \u2026 they\u2019re targeting and looking at all the members of the Supreme Court, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Congress\u2014both House and Senate\u2014as well as the White House,\u201d Binney said. \u201cAnd all of this data is there inside NSA at this small group, where they\u2019re looking at it. And the idea is to see what people with power over you, what they think, what they think you should be doing, what they\u2019re planning to do to you, your budget or whatever, so you can try to counteract it before it actually happens.\u201d<\/p>\n
In response to this shocking claim, Carlson said the program sounds \u201cEast German\u201d and \u201cillegal,\u201d to which Binney said, \u201cNo, it isn\u2019t [legal.]\u201d<\/p>\n
