Justin Amash (R-Mich.) took to Twitter Monday morning, blasting his own party\u2019s legislative attempt to repeal and replace Obamacare.<\/p>\n<p>President Donald Trump and Republican leaders in Congress, most notably House Speaker Paul Ryan have advocated for the bill known as the American Health Care Act. But more conservative members of Congress have made no secret of their issues with the legislation, which several of them have referred to as \u201cObamcare Lite.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Amash is among the Republican members who oppose the proposed American Health Care Act in its current form. Amash voiced his disdain for the proposed bill in a tweet Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile I\u2019ve been in Congress, I can\u2019t recall a more universally detested piece of legislation than this GOP health care bill,\u201d Amash tweeted.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">While I&#39;ve been in Congress, I can&#39;t recall a more universally detested piece of legislation than this GOP health care bill.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Justin Amash (@justinamash) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/justinamash\/status\/843835930247086080?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 20, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Amash was first elected to the Congress in 2010. He assumed office in 2011. Amash was re-elected three times, most recently in 2016,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Justin_Amash\">according to Ballotpedia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"embed-responsive\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/w.graphiq.com\/w\/yY9sN4hKq9?data-width=600&amp;data-height=565&amp;data-frozen=&amp;data-href=&amp;data-script-version=true&amp;data-sv=1.0.0\" width=\"600\" height=\"565\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0* * *<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who is a member of the conservative Freedom Caucus, introduced a separate bill as an alternative to the AHCA. A majority of other Freedom Caucus members, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theblaze.com\/news\/2017\/03\/17\/republicans-remain-fractured-on-obamacare-repeal-considering-collapse-and-replace-option\/\">including Rep. Louie Gohmert<\/a>, (R-TX) said they generally support the concept behind Jordan\u2019s alternative.<\/p>\n<p>Sen.
