The Main Stream Media <\/a>and other enemies of the current President are challenging the proposition that President Obama wire tapped President Donald Trump during the 2016 Presidential race.\u00a0 President Trump started this discussion with his tweets over the weekend.<\/strong><\/p>\n In his first tweet President Trump tweeted:<\/p>\n Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my \u201cwires tapped\u201d in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Terrible! Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n This is now being referred to as Obamagate!<\/strong><\/p>\n It is not unfounded that former President Obama would wire tap President Trump during the election process.\u00a0 This is because he has done this before.\u00a0 Here is a list of individuals who were wire tapped by the Obama Administration.<\/strong><\/p>\n WikiLeaks<\/strong> released the following list on February 23rd (see link here<\/a>) of Obama Administration wire taps:<\/p>\n * The US National Security Agency bugged a private climate change strategy meeting<\/u><\/a>; between UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin; In addition to the above list we also know now that Obama wire tapped various individuals in the US media that were reporting information not flattering to the Obama Administration.\u00a0 It is\u00a0widely known that Obama\u2019s Justice Department <\/a>targeted journalists with wiretaps in 2013:<\/p>\n * In 2013 the liberal Washington Post expressed outrage after the revelation<\/u><\/a> that the Justice Department had investigated the newsgathering activities of a Fox News reporter as a potential crime in a probe of classified leaks.\u00a0 The reporter, Fox News\u2019 James Rosen<\/u><\/a> and his family,\u00a0were part of an investigation into government officials anonymously leaking information to journalists. Rosen was not charged <\/a>but his movements and actions were tracked. \n* Obama bugged Chief of Staff of UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for long term interception targetting his Swiss phone<\/u><\/a>;
\n* Obama singled out the Director of the Rules Division of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Johann Human, and targetted his Swiss phone for long term interception<\/u><\/a>;
\n* Obama stole sensitive Italian diplomatic cables<\/u><\/a> detailing how Israel\u2019s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu implored Italy\u2019s Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to help patch up his relationship with US President Barack Obama, who was refusing to talk to Netanyahu;
\n* Obama intercepted top EU and Japanese trade ministers<\/u><\/a> discussing their secret strategy and red lines to stop the US \u201cextort[ing]\u201d them at the WTO Doha arounds (the talks subsequently collapsed);
\n* Obama explicitly targeted five other top EU economic officials for long term interception, including their French, Austrian and Belgium phone numbers<\/u><\/a>;
\n* Obama explicitly targetted the phones of Italy\u2019s ambassador to NATO and other top Italian officials<\/u><\/a> for long term interception; and
\n* Obama intercepted details<\/u><\/a> of a critical private meeting between then French president Nicolas Sarkozy, Merkel and Berluscon, where the latter was told the Italian banking system was ready to \u201cpop like a cork\u201d.<\/p>\n
\n* Also in 2013, members of the Associated Press were also a target of the surveillance.\u00a0 The ultra liberal New Yorker<\/em> even noted that \u201cIn moderate and liberal circles, at least, the phone-records scandal<\/a>, partly because it involves the dear old A.P. and partly because it raises anew the specter of Big Brother, may well present the most serious threat to Obama\u2019s reputation.\u201d
\n* Reporter Sharyl Attkisson <\/a>said in 2014 that\u00a0her<\/u><\/a> personal computer and CBS laptop were hacked after she began filing stories about Benghazi that were unflattering to the Obama administration<\/u><\/a>.\u00a0 A source who checked her laptop said the hacker used spyware \u201cproprietary to a government agency,\u201d according to an article in the New York Post<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n
