A CONSPIRACY theorist has claimed Barack Obama is using a body double for public appearances.<\/p>\n

Barry Soetoro claims pictures appearing to show the former president having dinner with his daughter in New York<\/a> prove an elaborate cover-up.<\/p>\n

In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Soetoro analyses pictures of the ex-Democrat leader on a recent visit to Manhattan.<\/p>\n

Images show him surrounded by security officers as he gets into a car in Donald Trump\u2019s home town.<\/p>\n

Others, apparently tweeted by members of the public, show Obama<\/a> eating at Emilio\u2019s Ballato restaurant in the city\u2019s Soho district, according to Soetoro.<\/p>\n

But the conspiracy theorist<\/a> claims all is not what it seems.<\/p>\n

Zooming in on the stills from the restaurant, he points out a series of perceived irregularities in Obama\u2019s appearance.<\/p>\n

Soetoro highlights his ear, saying it doesn\u2019t look quite right.<\/p>\n

The narrator also claims the 55-year-old\u2019s chin is far too pointy.<\/p>\n

And he says there are lines near his nose which suggest the image was \u201cheavily doctored\u201d.<\/p>\n

Soetoro claims the pictures are evidence that Obama is using a body double for public appearances.<\/p>\n

But he offers no explanation as to why the former president would want to use a stand-in for a quiet family dinner.<\/p>\n

Or indeed why he would start using a double now \u2013 after leaving the White House.<\/p>\n

Soetoro, who has some 60,000 subscribers on YouTube, puts his name to a number of wacky theories.<\/p>\n

He claims the infamous mass shooting at Sandy Hook school in 2012 didn\u2019t really happen, and the gunman Adam Lanza was created in Photoshop.<\/p>\n

And he says mental health laws are a conspiracy so the US government can take away people\u2019s guns.<\/p>\n
